Using web fonts is one of the most annoying web design trends. My browser sometimes loads the wrong font for some reason, which for example leads to news rendered with a unreadable baroque typeface.

I would prefer to have them disabled completely, but didn't find an easy way to achieve this.

I don't expect that there ever will be a perfect or optimal programming language. There is also no perfect natural language.

I would rather say, that the language is just a vehicle and especially beginners identify themselves too much with their preferred language, while more advanced programmer think more in terms of concepts.

You can solve most of the problems with any of the existing languages. Every language has its strengths and weaknesses, but I would say this pretty much balances out, the more different problems you try to solve with a language.

Yes, but there is a difference between writing a lisp interpreter, and expecting that the world will use your lisp interpreter for actual projects. :)

I would also recommend writing a game to any developer. This includes graphics, UI, performance optimization, maybe graph algorithms and more, but like with languages, the result will in most cases not be able to compete with professional games that are already out there.

To me it looks like a few new languages are introduced every week and I just cannot understand why. I can understand that a programmer who reaches a certain level wants to build his own language, but do they really think that the world is waiting for yet another programming language? It is just not getting easier with a new language.

Why do these companies seem to always get away with violating their customers privacy? Why don't they have to pay huge fines for that, or even better, go to jail (those who made such decisions)? Seriously, what they do is criminal.

Probably that was the reason why Apple did not have the courage to do so, but it is obvious that it creates additional value for some people. Especially designers and illustrators, I think.

The standard behavior of search engines in such cases should be to remove the entire website from the index. All or nothing.

The great thing about such demos is, that everyone is able to read and run it within minutes.

Those [anything] in [n] lines of JavaScript pieces are a great way to dive into the code in order to learn. It is usually much easier to read through 30 lines than through 3000 lines. So it probably not very important that these projects are not finished products.

Recommendations are actually nice, but the problem on YT is how they are based on the current video and my personal browsing history at the same time. I think in earlier days they were just based on the current video and this made much more sense to me.
