lenkite··on “It works better in the app”
The overwhelming majority of folks on twitter (>99.9999999%) are non-nazis. Oh, I don't use Twitter myself but that's because its also overwhelmingly social media spam on steroids.
lenkite··on Amazon now hides all customer reviews on products
Actually moat can most certainly be used as a verb. Ex They planned to moat the fortress for extra security.
lenkite··on I miss the old Claude Code
Is this because of "model collapse" ? Newer AI models being trained on too much AI slop ?
lenkite··on Amazon now hides all customer reviews on products
I think you are getting downvoted for speaking truth because of first sentence which should be changed to "This is to MOAT their data on you". "protection" is invalid word.
lenkite··on Corporate political donations shatter record at $646M so far for US midterms
I always wondered why the US accuses other South-Asian nation states of deep corruption when they have the most gigantic corruption system in the world.
lenkite··on US Government designates host of noblogs.org a "global terrorist"
> From a European perspective, one has long wondered what this government actually considers NOT to be terrorism.

The definition hasn't really changed regardless of the U.S. President: If you kneel to current U.S. Administration policy, then you can be a mass-murdering, torturing, rapist head-chopper and you will still be a "good guy".

If you object to whatever the current US policy is and are small fry, then you are a bad terrorist begging to be eliminated by the American Military Machine. You become a valuable elimination target of US intel/war-corpo investment.

lenkite··on US removes Syria from terrorism sponsor list, lifting major investment obstacle
Al'Qaeda head-chopper with a $10 million bounty on him will obviously be the Trump/Israel favorite - as it keeps Syria unstable. And they can revert the stay of execution and bomb Syria anytime they like.

Might want to read this: https://edition.cnn.com/interactive/asequals/syria-army-comm...

lenkite··on Andreessen Horowitz is investing billions into a bleak future
This is actually changing. Many consumer and retail companies are already shifting their focus from the mass middle class toward high-income and affluent segments. Businesses find higher profit margins and more resilient demand in premium goods. And in enterprise, companies just pay other rich companies who pay them. (sometimes just directly).
lenkite··on Andreessen Horowitz is investing billions into a bleak future
Slaves. They will call 'em by another acceptable word though.
lenkite··on Over 170k Nonprofits Lost All Their Data. Is Microsoft to Blame?
Even most non-serious companies generally tend to follow their own statements regarding product license duration which is a very fundamental thing.

"He renewed Canopy’s yearly license last October, and Microsoft had emailed him to confirm he would retain access until Oct. 4, 2026"

Someone decided to pull the plug anyways.

lenkite··on Stop Making TUIs
"AppKit and UIKit still developed and have access to all API that SwiftUI has."

No they don't. Many components are SwiftUI only.

lenkite··on Stop Making TUIs
A GUI requires a lot more work to be keyboard-driven and as fast as a TUI.
lenkite··on OTel isn’t going well
Hard Agree on Prometheus. And esp on the complexity - OTel is dizzyingly complex. You can get started ASAP on Prometheus whereas you get lost in analysis-paralysis when dealing with OTel.
lenkite··on Xorg-server 26.1.0 rc1
What does easystroke even do ? There is no README in the repo.
lenkite··on The August 17 outage
I don't think anyone would love to own the world's AI slop. The capex and revenue expenditure would be too high for any ROI.
lenkite··on PostgreSQL for Everything
No data integrity, No automatic formatting, No timezone support, No standard date functions, etc
lenkite··on Israel creates fake think tank in likely attempt to dupe AI chatbots
Israel is the nanny-state that has ABSOLUTE control over what money goes in and out of Gaza and WHO it goes to.
lenkite··on PostgreSQL for Everything
Want SQL-92 standard DATE/TIME/TIMESTAMP.
lenkite··on Israel creates fake think tank in likely attempt to dupe AI chatbots
Yes, it was. https://www.timesofisrael.com/for-years-netanyahu-propped-up...
lenkite··on Nvidia discloses $21B stake in SpaceX at end of second quarter
> This has to run into reality at some point.

Reality will likely be a "bailout" tax.

lenkite··on Israel creates fake think tank in likely attempt to dupe AI chatbots
Wasn't Hamas technically funded by Natanyahu for the explicit goal of dividing Palestinian leadership and to ensure that extremists had both money and power so that he always had justification to wipe out Palestine ?

Look at how evil this group is -> genocide of their entire state is good! (Don't look at the fact that I demanded that this group is explicitly funded - that is not important)

lenkite··on India has paved the way for charging merchants a fee on UPI transactions
I assumed you were joking about this, but wow, the US indeed did demand this from both India and Brazil. Brazil rejected while India knelt and surrendered. US also demanded that India not enforce any market cap limit for UPI payment providers to prevent monopolies - and India surrendered there as well.

Unfortunately, current Modi govt is compromised due to Adani and the Epstein files. It can only hop and jump to whatever Trump orders.

lenkite··on Young People Hate AI CEOs So Passionately That It's Almost Hard to Believe
The rich people sell to each other and AI corps while maintaining a strong "freedom" force to ensure that their "rights" are protected. Injury to a data-center will be considered an act of vile terrorism and punished with life-detention employment (aka slave labour) or the relife correction (if your organs are good for farming).
lenkite··on Jolt: Clojure compiler implemented with Chez Scheme
The website is clearly slop. I KNOW it has been generated because it has the bog-standard unique claude LLM card-mistake that humans who hand-code just DONT make.
lenkite··on Choral: Choreographic Programming for Java
The docs link for for Wyzer give a 404 for https://wyzer-lang.vercel.app/docs/overview/01_introduction/
lenkite··on Because It's Not Fun Enough: why languages fail
Swift: (reaon reason->) only Apple recommended language of choice for SwiftUI and iOS/macOS development.

Swift could be the worst language in the planet and people would still learn it. For considerable amount of time, its compiler used to timeout for many code-bases and people still gritted their teeth and learned it.

lenkite··on Building a Rust Inference Engine That Matches Llama.cpp
You are talking to the Borg. It has now acquired one more citizen. Soon, we will all be assimilated.
lenkite··on US beef prices have soared but farmers aren't making more money
The one where being the dominant player and executing anti-competitive practices removes any opportunity. Being a sufficiently big bullying tree chokes out all future undergrowth for others
lenkite··on US beef prices have soared but farmers aren't making more money
> Because, to quote Jeff Bezos, your margin is my opportunity. And did he ever squeeze every drop from that opportunity. Just ask the brick and mortar stores in your street.

Sure and now after having become the Shoggoth monopoly, Amazon is now increasing fees. Squeeze your competitors out via unlimited money and then begin to squeeze your customers after you become of the lone poles in the forest.

lenkite··on Teacher Arrested for Clapping in Support of Anti-Data Center Activists
Clapping 5 times after the first speaker has finished talking and the next speaker is yet to begin is not "disruptive".

Just about Anything can be considered "disruptive" by that definition. What is next ? Get someone arrested since they made a face or frowned at your speech ? Or sneezed or coughed ? Why even bother with an audience then ?
