They really don't have to call a group far left or far right in their justification, because it sounds like weak credibility in search of social support. Assuming this is a serious question: There are people who are not themselves fascists who object to the direct action tactics (read: violence, vandalism) sometimes employed under the banner of "antifa."

It's always curious to me how property damage weighs the same or worse than violence against real humans.
