leesec··on How accurate have Ed Zitron's AI skeptic predictions been?
theyre not being subsidized, and no ones using tokens just because.

This reads to me as incredible cope. Maybe not both of these companies but certainly one of them will be enormously valuable, and there will always value in the frontier models even if much of the practical usage can be done locally
leesec··on I am retiring from tech to live offline
Lol, had to tell the internet on his way out huh. He'll be back of course as he clearly values the internet and makes it part of his ego.

leesec··on Can you reverse engineer our neural network?
Really ignorant take imo. There's so much good technology created because of the wealth created by finance and ads and other boring industries.
leesec··on Tesla registrations crash 17% in Europe as BEV market surges 14%
LMAO. do you say the same for Rivian or any of the other EV's actually failing?
leesec··on Tesla 'Robotaxi' adds 5 more crashes in Austin in a month – 4x worse than humans
OK I'm happy to book 10k on this at 10-1. Or whatever the max is you're OK with betting. Prefer just to give to eachother then donate. Please respond if you're serious and we can trade details

OK. Let's do 2028. My charity is myself. I'll also send you 1k if I'm wrong
leesec··on Tesla 'Robotaxi' adds 5 more crashes in Austin in a month – 4x worse than humans
Will happily take this bet and also happy to 10x it if you want. Would prefer we just pay each other though. You can donate my money if you want
leesec··on Tesla 'Robotaxi' adds 5 more crashes in Austin in a month – 4x worse than humans
Propose a bet with concrete details and resolutions so we can bet.

For instance, Would you like to bet 1000 dollars Tesla has more unsupervised self driving robotaxis than Waymo at the start of 2027?

leesec··on Tesla 'Robotaxi' adds 5 more crashes in Austin in a month – 4x worse than humans
I didn't say this year, but lets bet on it?

Funny to see the comments here vs the thread the other day where a Waymo hit a child.

There's no real discussion to be had on any of this. Just people coming in to confirm their biases.

As for me, I'm happy to make and take bets on Tesla beating Waymo. I've heard all these arguments a million times. Bet some money

leesec··on I started programming when I was 7. I'm 50 now and the thing I loved has changed
yeah coding is a lot more fun and useful now
leesec··on xAI joins SpaceX
truly a braindead argument. probably paid for by a shortseller.
leesec··on xAI joins SpaceX
>arguably the only decent thing he's produced.

such a hilarious comment / mindset. he made the best selling car in the world 3 years running. neuralink is a great breakthrough. there are a string of accomplishments which individually would be the greatest thing many many people have ever done.

leesec··on A lot of population numbers are fake
"It shouldn’t be new to anyone that population data in the poor world is bad" from the same author and same article. but cherry pick away if it makes you feel intelligent.
leesec··on After two years of vibecoding, I'm back to writing by hand
I know these people lol, they are better coders than you
leesec··on After two years of vibecoding, I'm back to writing by hand
These are the smartest people in tech lol.
leesec··on After two years of vibecoding, I'm back to writing by hand
OK. Top AI labs have people using llms for 100% of their code. Enjoy writing by hand tho
leesec··on DoorDash and Waymo launch autonomous delivery service in Phoenix
lol this is capitalism buddy. food delivery exists because people want it and pay for it, you actually don't get a say at all on if it needs to 'go away'.
leesec··on How the US got left behind in the electric car race
lots of byd cars are 1/4th the price so makes sense
leesec··on How the US got left behind in the electric car race
lol downvoted for saying a fact by the Chinese bots and Elon haters. get real
leesec··on How the US got left behind in the electric car race
weird how the best selling EV in the world and even china is the American Tesla Model Y then
leesec··on Waymo has received our pilot permit allowing for commercial operations at SFO
Cruise is basically winding down. Tesla is the other major competitor
leesec··on I bought the cheapest EV, a used Nissan Leaf
kind of nuts since a used tesla is within 5k of this
leesec··on A big problem for Tesla isn't getting much attention
i think they'll only be worth a trillion for another 6 months or so and then it will start going up
leesec··on A big problem for Tesla isn't getting much attention
you guys are delusional
leesec··on A big problem for Tesla isn't getting much attention
Who's going to pony up a trillion dollars?
