I've continually voiced my discontent with the way Airbnb treats guests vs hosts. Guests are completely disposable and I even had a personal experience I wrote about on medium as well for a long-term stay. Airbnb is the company that is going the way of too big to fail. As more and more customers complain cities will eventually be forced to regulate and potentially kill this company. It's quite ironic that Brian Chesky, the CEO, tweeted end of June about how wrong the travel ban is in America ( a ban that fails to provide clarity as to why some of the countries are on it) and yet Airbnb feels they are allowed to ban a user without providing any clarity as well.
"AirBnB is already very strict with landlords: it needs to start being a lot stricter with its users too." It's not as strict with landlords as it should be.
And while it is strict with users it actually favors landlords and by a landslide. Have you ever rented long term with AirBnB? Hosts can literally cancel the reservation for any reason( Airbnb says they punish for doing so but rarely if ever because the Host can provide any reason) If you happen to be in a city that doesn't have as many Airbnbs and you get a really good deal, you're screwed if the host decides to cancel.
Costs for Airbnb's have also gone up significantly that it's often not even worth it to rent one if you happen to be less than a group of 4 people.
If rewarded accordingly I agree. But the fact he could get a HUGE payout if certain milestones are met and has the nerve to not only ask for volunteers but now for programmers to fix his issues for free is ridiculous.

This doesn't inspire too much confidence, Tesla at one point asked for volunteers to ramp up Model 3 production and now a hackathon to solve a bottleneck. We get they burn cash like there's no tomorrow ( pun?) but this reeks of desperation. He should at least pay the winners.
All crooks. As a Canadian, it's a shame that so many choose to just accept circumstances regarding Telecoms and other companies. We get royally screwed and no one seems to care. I'm so glad I decided to cut my contract with my phone company two years ago.
No they mentioned a price increase for monthly subscribers before, this price increase is for annual subscriptions and will come in effect in May for new users. Renewal subscription increases for existing members are effective June.
That's not the only issue they face. Tesla is on a downward spiral and can't make money off a 35k base model. They owe a lot of money to creditors and all it takes is for one of them to recall the debt owed and other creditors will follow. I'd strongly suggest reading this article:
I've significantly reduced my time on Reddit. Used to pull up the website out of curiosity every day but the atmosphere is incredibly toxic. My front page was riddled with Russiagate stuff too for some reason and every time you'd bring up an argument that isn't the norm you get a mob after you.
Ridiculous statement. America has been advocating for free trade, we don't see your American companies complaining when they've benefitted from cheap labor in China to mass produce the likes of shoes( eg: Nike) or Apple with iPhones. America is simply imposing tariffs because China has opted to introduce the PetroYuan for oil trades which effectively poses a threat to the USD. America wasn't expecting China to respond but it did. You don't bully your debtholder and expect to get compliments in return.
That's entirely your opinion. Tennis and Soccer are perhaps the greatest sports in my opinion. Soccer( football) involves tactics and is played like chess, whereas Tennis is about reading your opponent and is incredibly mental
Even if there is a finite number of coins, at that point it's just speculation and economics of supply and demand. That still doesn't explain any "value" added attribute to it. Oil has a finite number of supply, that affects its pricing and supply and demand, but it also serves a purpose( which would explain its value. Someone coming up with an ICO to fund a project that has no benefit or value whatsoever other than to say here's a finite number of coins well that's clearly speculation and if anything pump and dump 101.
If you're out of warranty they'll charge you an arm and a leg to change your battery too, if you opt to go to a service that isn't approved by them they immediately cut off any service or support for your device. $$$$$$$$$$ is all that matters
Their website is often down, can't properly scale up and they expect trust? If you're Canadian, you can buy but can't sell cryptos, that's a red flag anywhere regarding investments.
This is the first time Apple has sent youtube personalities iPhone review units. In the Steve Jobs era, they would carefully select certain tech columnists. That coupled with limiting time for reviewers seems to be a desperate attempt at convincing people to buy the phone. The verge says FaceID is inconsistent in daylight and outside when beeing used.
So basically you are saying that a bad biometric that would allow someone to use a face mask and walk into your home easily would still be better than 99% of house keys?
Highly doubt Airbnb will be around in the next 10-15 years. If Hotels can catch up and get with the program they could easily get people to stop renting on Airbnb.
Oddly enough the people who complained about rent control and increased rent prices in cities now ask for crazy prices on Airbnb when renting their room ( even if they have 3-4 roommates) It just isn't worth it anymore unless you're a group of 6-7 people. Might as well just get a hotel.
Have a hard time believing these numbers are correct. I keep getting fake profile friend requests. Seems incredibly inflated but I mean who will look into that.
