lclc··on I made Giulia, an expert CV writer for tailored and enhanced Job Application
I get the following error when posting an average-length job ad:

Request too large for gpt-4o-mini in organization org-alNbr2bBIUKGPX1BTByHkoeV on tokens per min (TPM): Limit 2000000, Requested 5678785. The input or output tokens must be reduced in order to run successfully. Visit https://platform.openai.com/account/rate-limits to learn more.

lclc··on Show HN: LinkedIn sucks, so I built a better one
Your About page doesn't work. I'd not share personal information with an anonymous company.
lclc··on Claude can now search the web
If you enter a question into Kagi, by default, you get a 'Quick Answer' (https://help.kagi.com/kagi/getting-started/index.html#quick-...) on the top (an AI-generated text answer before the search result). In this case, it tells me which factors to consider and some that are considered to be the best depending on the use case (all sources the AI used for the answer are linked below the answer).

Then, the following two links appear as normal search results: https://www.bonappetit.com/story/best-rice-cookers and https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/review/best-rice-cookers (I don't know those websites, so I can't judge them).

Followed by Listicles (a short-form writing that uses a list as its thematic structure). All just one entrance, in this case, Best rice cooker 2024: Top tried and tested models for perfect results expertreviews.com 9 Best Rice Cookers | The Strategist - New York Magazine nymag.com The 8 Best Rice Cookers of 2025, Tested and Approved - The Spruce Eats thespruceeats.com 6 Best Rice Cookers 2025 Reviewed - Food Network foodnetwork.com Best rice cookers 2025, tested for perfect grains - The Independent independent.co.uk 29 Rice cooker meals ideas | rice cooker recipes, cooking recipes... de.pinterest.com 43 Crockpot ideas | cooking recipes, rice cooker recipes, cooker... de.pinterest.com

Followed by Quick Peek (questions with hidden answers that you can display).

Followed by normal search results again: ryukoch.com, reddit/r/Coooking, expertreviewsbestricecooker.com, tiktok, and then many more 'normal' websites.

This search reminded me that I have yet to configure my Kagi account to ignore tiktok.

lclc··on Show HN: Open-Source DocumentAI with Ollama
Nice work. Any plans to somehow integrate into mdbooks (https://rust-lang.github.io/mdBook/) ?

Or a general web user-interface?

What is the advantage over a private docker registry combined with a public git-repo containing the docker-compose?
lclc··on We're bringing Pebble back
On the GitHub it says: > Proprietary source code has been removed from this repository and it will not compile as-is. This is for information only.

Not sure how much use it is?

lclc··on USA restricts Swiss access to AI computer chips
> almost amounts to white-only immigration

This is wrong.

> In 2023, 30,223 people applied for asylum in Switzerland, an increase of over 20% compared to 2022. The main countries of origin were Afghanistan, Türkiye, Eritrea, Algeria and Morocco.

https://ecre.org/aida-country-report-on-switzerland-2023-upd...

Compared to only 2,122 asylum applications from refugees in Denmark in 2023 overall.

lclc··on USA restricts Swiss access to AI computer chips
That's not true. If you are married to a Swiss, it's easy: https://www.eda.admin.ch/countries/china/en/home/services/ci...

Also, otherwise, it's easy but not automated. Lots of foreigners get a Swiss passport every year.

lclc··on USA restricts Swiss access to AI computer chips
Switzerland had much better relations with the US under the Trump administration (especially thanks to the very friendly ambassador) than under the Biden administration (with a new, very hostile ambassador).

They started talks about a free trade agreement under Trump, which was frozen under Biden.

lclc··on Twenty, a modern CRM alternative to Salesforce
Does it have HubSpot (etc.) import functionality?

Otherwise the switchting-costs are probably too high for most companies.

lclc··on Why WhatsApp Was Able to Support 50B Messages a Day with 32 Engineers
> They eliminated feature creep at all costs.

Not anymore. I'm wondering how many engineers they have now to develop and maintain all the non-chat features.

lclc··on Milk Sad Disclosure
Look at the big warning there: https://github.com/libbitcoin/libbitcoin-explorer/wiki/bx-se...

He's right.

lclc··on Proton Pass: Open-Source and Encrypted Password Manager App
I'd switch if they add a native Linux app. Any plans for that?
lclc··on Corporate profits account for almost half the increase in Europe’s inflation
This is the correct answer and it's disappointing to see that it gets downvoted.
lclc··on “But the SEC let us go public” and other flawed arguments in Coinbase's defense
> Ethereum was the first token sale.

That's not true. The first token sale (ICO) was Mastercoin, 1 year before Ethereum's ICO.

lclc··on “But the SEC let us go public” and other flawed arguments in Coinbase's defense
For ETH they can sue Vitalik Buterin, the rest of the Ethereum Co-Founders, and the Ethereum foundation. They are the issuers and majority of the ETH supply is there since the beginning.
lclc··on Colima: Container runtimes on macOS (and Linux) with minimal setup
Does it work with Podman?

Does it have support for docker-compose files?

lclc··on The developer job market is insane
Please name the company. They deserve public shaming.
lclc··on Twitter Blue breaks EU consumer law by showing prices without tax
Abolish VAT. It's an anti-social tax, targeting the poor and making business for small businesses more bureaucratic and more expensive.
lclc··on Hetzner launches three new dedicated servers
I had the same issue so I made the cloud-init script create a systemd service that does the docker cleaning.
lclc··on Hetzner launches three new dedicated servers
I'm using Hetzner for our CI setup with GitLab-runners. With a simple cloud.init script, it's cheap and I have nearly 0 maintenance: https://gitlab.com/21analytics/gitlab-runner-cloud-init
lclc··on Digitec Galaxus now displays warranty score and return rate
Electronics are actually cheaper in Switzerland than in most countries, thanks to low VAT.
lclc··on CircleCI says hackers stole encryption keys and customers’ source code
It's very easy to run your own GitLab-Runner (their open-source CI: https://docs.gitlab.com/runner/) on your server (or any cloud).

Set up within seconds using a few lines of cloud-init: https://gitlab.com/21analytics/gitlab-runner-cloud-init

Most of the time, it's also cheaper and maintenance is close to zero.

lclc··on Finch: An open-source client for container development
