I loved it. Could you make it more than one page. For everything in HN. I can only read 30 posts now.
l1feh4ck··on iPhone Typos? It's Not Just You – The iOS Keyboard Is Broken [video]
I switched to iPhone from android three years ago and it still frustrates me when I have to edit a word.

Say I accidentally typed ebit instead of edit.

In android it is as easy as clicking on the letter “b” and backspace then correct it to “d”

In ios, I have to long press the space key to move around and or do some circus to edit it.

I don’t understand why Apple does this.

l1feh4ck··on Ask HN: Has Anyone Else Felt Like Reddit Moderators Are Too Powerful?
The problem is my blog is not so popular. I will have to relay on any of these channels to have some visibility and engagement.
l1feh4ck··on Ask HN: How do you archive your personal files on the cloud
How do you automate the deletion of the photos on Apple photos after archiving? I do not think apple provides an API for that. Dropbox and Google photos has API and would be possible to delete it from there after archiving.
l1feh4ck··on A Simple QR Based Food Ordering App
I was able to solve the problem with the application but struggled to sell it to more people and generate revenue. As a tech person, selling is not my strong suit. Now, I’m considering deprecating the app if I cannot find sales before my GCP credits run out, as there is not much revenue being generated from this project now.
l1feh4ck··on Simple web to whatsap food ordering. Best viewed on mobile
Yes. It should point to the same site shown in the QR. I posted this from my mobile. So there was some issue with the link.

The one thing that caught my attention is that "they keep deleting the issue we post". That is an evil thing to do.
l1feh4ck··on Indian Jets Strike on Pakistani Side of Kashmir Line
When 1.2 Billion people are saying to Pakistan to stop supporting the terrorist and to stop providing them safe heavens, they are denying that there is no terrorist in Pakistan despite the fact that Osama Bin Ladan was captured and killed on their grounds and numerous other terrorist organisations broadcasting terror from their base in Pakistan. India has always been a country that has never attacked any country first. The current government came in to power saying that they will fight the war on terror. And when they do it all the Indians are with them irrespective of the religion or political ideologies. #PMKB is a hashtag trending in the social media which literally translate it to the above-mentioned meaning. It is the rage against terror.
l1feh4ck··on Indian Jets Strike on Pakistani Side of Kashmir Line
I am very proud of this. And there is nothing to be ashamed of. India did not attack any civilians or military base, It attacked terrorist training camps. The attack was on an area 50Km after LOC(line of control) which is a part of Kashmir currently occupied by Pakistan. On Feb 14th 44 Indian reserve police were killed in a bomb attack made by the same pakisthan based Jihadi terroriest organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed. I think this is a major action against terror from India.
l1feh4ck··on Indian Jets Strike on Pakistani Side of Kashmir Line
I don't understand why to thank god for that. Pakisthan have denied the existence of such terrorist organisation even though the last surgical strick from India killed over 50 jihadis who were trained to attack India. The attack was done by 12 mirage aircraft carrying bombs weighing over 1000kgs. This have a destructive radius over 15 kms. The Indian intel and the state is claming that there is anywhere beteen 300-400 Jihadis killed in this attack. Major strike on terror from Indian side.
l1feh4ck··on Google activated battery saving mode on multiple phones, then rolled it back
Google is so deep-rooted in our life and they are doing it so elegantly without making much noise and the majority of people are least bothered about this. I want Google out of my phone, and I need it now. What am I going to do about it? Nothing because Google is so convenient.
l1feh4ck··on Scientists Can Read a Bird’s Brain and Predict Its Next Song
I would very much hope that we have an encryption system in our brain. If this technology somehow succeeds to read human thoughts, there is comparatively very less good that can come out of it. The later evolution of the brain would be to develop an encryption system.
l1feh4ck··on 'Our minds can be hijacked': tech insiders who fear a smartphone dystopia
Whatsapp in their initial days before getting acquired by Facebook had a similar revenue model. They asked $1/year from a user. I am starting to wonder if $1/year was enough from a user to keep their service running. If it is the case why are we willing to risk our privacy for an evil revenue model while we can retain it with just $1?
l1feh4ck··on Limit Internet access until your child makes progress on educational sites
I disagree. The desire to learn is always within us it is the very nature of human being.

It is very observable among kids. They try to learn everything by observing around them. Limiting the window to which they can learn is what the conventional school system has implemented through ages.

I cannot find the point in forcing a kid to learn math when he is clearly interested in music or art. At best he will become a bad mathematician. Where he could have become a great musician. The idea of forcefully planting interest of something inside a young mind is terrible.

Instead, give him the freedom to choose. Give his both math and art. Let him choose what he likes.

And please don't give a reward if he chooses math over music.

l1feh4ck··on Limit Internet access until your child makes progress on educational sites
Thinking on the kid's side. I personally don't want to be a kid who is forced to learn something which I have no interest in. Especially to get access to the internet on my free time to do/learn something that interests me.

Reinforced learning will give results, but better results can be obtained if the `desire` to learn is developed from within.

l1feh4ck··on India unveils $2.5B plan to electrify all households by end 2018
The climate change is real and every room in the city is having at least one cooler. The village, on the other hand, has a more natural way of doing things.

l1feh4ck··on India unveils $2.5B plan to electrify all households by end 2018
Just to point something out> The total cost of India's Mars mission was only US$73 million compared to NASA's $671 million.
l1feh4ck··on India unveils $2.5B plan to electrify all households by end 2018
I think the primary concern here is to first provide electricity to the quarter of the population who are not connected to the grid.

The population who are not having electricity in India is either because they live in a remote place where there is no connection or they are too poor to afford electricity. So what they need now is electricity, so their children can study in a better lit room.

Air conditioners and toasters are still considered a luxury by a majority of the population.

If executed properly, I think this initiative will really make a change.

l1feh4ck··on DuckDuckGo vs Google
It's a sad fact that regular google results are sometimes better than encrypted.google.com. It is like regular google knows what "I" want.

I would place my bet on that. That would be a query they need to work on.

Forcing users to Subscribe or Sign In to read the content while allowing the search engine crawlers without any barriers should be considered as malpractice. This was exactly the kind of stuff Quora was doing but at least they had the decency of doing this on users coming from internal links.

Ok. We do not want to copy your add. We just want to get rid of those by putting them in a filter. How on earth this can come under DMCA?

l1feh4ck··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (August 2017)
I have used draw.io a few times for creating flow charts and some architectural diagrams. I should say, I really loved it.
l1feh4ck··on Show HN: Music Genre Classification App in Django
I am glad that you find this project interesting. You can fork this project and find how much Bach and Corell is related to classical music. Or if you give a music eg:`The Verve-Bitter Sweet Symphony.` It can say that it has 28% chance that it is a classical music, 6% chance of being pop and so on. Since classical probability is high. The output label will be classical. You can use some music recognition api and get the meta data of the uploaded music to find the song info like name, year, artist etc.
l1feh4ck··on Show HN: Music Genre Classification App in Django
While making this project, we first tried many classification algorithms to find the best one. We used Matlab for that. We called it mgc-matlab. Then we made a package in python using poly kernel SVM and called it mgc-python. Finally while making the Web application it was named mgc-django. Looks like we are not very good at nomenclature. What other name would you suggest?
