koverda··on GitHub Actions is currently degraded
I've gotta agree here. I was working on setting up CI/CD with github action for my first time, and I thought I kept doing something wrong because there was no indication of any problems on the UI. I was googling all sorts of stuff, and eventually decided to check the github status page.

koverda··on How we bootstrapped a $1M ARR email client
Hey, I've got a SaaS component to my business and I found paddle [1] as a way to do payment processing for worldwide customers. They serve as a "merchant of record", basically a reseller of your software, and just send you your monthly check.

That being said, there's a lack of features and flexibility, and since the vast majority of my customers are in the US I ended up going with a different SaaS payments processor.

koverda··on Heroku Dashboard and CLI is facing issues
I can't log in unfortunately. I love heroku, but it does seem like they have their fair share of issues.
koverda··on I want a computer that I own
> Except for a handful of very over-priced models that I can't afford to buy.

This statement here made me pause for a bit. He wants a computer with specific features, but doesn't want pay for the models that offer those features because they are too expensive?

Everyone wants to have their cake and eat it too, but unfortunately, reality has constraints.

koverda··on Clubhouse Is Suggesting Users Invite Their Drug Dealers and Therapists
This is such a clickbait headline. Clubhouse asks for your contacts to invite them, same shady stuff that thousands of other apps have been doing for years, nothing special.
koverda··on SoftBank will invest $100M to make Miami a new tech hub
Miami has pitiful tech salaries, and no tech focused universities . I somehow doubt that 100m will make a significant difference
koverda··on Parents' income, not smarts, key to entrepreneurship
If you can't wait, start focusing on your ideas now. Chip away, one hour a day, every day.
koverda··on Time-lapse of a single cell transforming into a salamander (2019)
I believe that is a fertilized egg cell, so kinda both. It's the yolk (all one thing), plus a bunch of associated organelles (bunch of different things).
koverda··on Git is too hard
GitKraken is the best git GUI I've had the pleasure of using.
koverda··on Git is too hard
As far as GUIs go, I've tried quite a few and have settled on GitKraken. It's head and shoulders above the rest.

koverda··on “35-50% of clicks on Reddit Ads are fraudulent”
I unblock ads on sites I find useful, use frequently and want to actively support. If the ads aren't obnoxious, they stay unblocked.

Sites wouldn't exist without the users, so they should keep in mind user experience when deciding how to monetize.

koverda··on New Features in the Fish Shell
This is off topic, but I'm curious about your top 5 most game-changing upgrades to your dev environment.

Just set up TabNine, what are the other 3?

koverda··on Ad Fraud on LinkedIn
Sounds like this person is bad at advertising and marketing, and looking to blame anyone but themselves.

My guess is the content of the ad was poorly paired with the landing page. For what it's worth, I ran a LinkedIn campaign, had a $10 CPC with about a 40% conversion rate from a click to lead.

Also that sure is a lot of "conclusions" to make very little data.

koverda··on New Lenovo ThinkPad Range with Ryzen 4000 and 4000 Pro Mobile
I do development work on it and haven't ran into any issues. That being said, if you need something a little more beefy, and a little less lightweight, the T line is the next place to look. There's also the X1 extreme. However, after the XPS15 I wanted something a bit more mobile.
