I continue to be unsurprised at the number of people who are surprised to learn giving their contact book to a random internet app is a poor idea.
Perhaps in the early days, I’d understand however by now there’s a LOT of evidence to suggest that it doesn’t end well.
This is such a clickbait headline. Clubhouse asks for your contacts to invite them, same shady stuff that thousands of other apps have been doing for years, nothing special.
It also prevents you from being able to invite anyone else unless you agree.
Wow that's awful. At least on Android I could create a new user profile with zero contacts, but not sure if there's a similar workaround on iPhone
I believe that violates App Store policies.
