kombucha2··on Oregon has more legal cannabis than the state can consume in six years
How cheap is CHEAP and what is the quality? Genuinely curious.
kombucha2··on Amazon threatens to suspend Signal's AWS account over censorship circumvention
oh derrr
kombucha2··on Amazon threatens to suspend Signal's AWS account over censorship circumvention
Couldn't they ask people to donate their AWS instances or a portion of their webserver (or domain) resources to running a small outward facing webserver as a dummy, making the domain look like its a real website (eCommerce etc) and then passing Signal data through a Shadowsocks (or something similar) proxy? Couldn't they develop an AMI that they hold the keys to that people could deploy with ease?
kombucha2··on Giving money directly to poor people (2013)
Case in point: Prince. The man is extremely wealthy and yet succumbs to counterfeit Vicodin laced with Fentanyl.

Please, bring on the automats.
kombucha2··on YouTube demonetized my tuba videos
Yeah seems like an odd criticism. What about 2000 hours or 1000....or 50 hours? I'm not sure why the author thinks he deserves monetization. At the very least I concede it seems arbitrary but it's Youtube's prerogative what they do with their platform.
kombucha2··on China's global kidnapping campaign may now be reaching inside U.S. borders
Extraordinary rendition[1] Reminds me a lot of that. Just Chinese-style. As well as how the DPRK kidnapped people from Japan[2] and South Korea[3]. One of the abductees from South Korea was a famous director, Shin Sang-ok[4] and his wife. Kim Jong Il hoped he would revitalize northern cinema. It's a fascinating story.

kombucha2··on IRS reminds taxpayers to report virtual currency transactions
Maybe I just wasn't trading enough with stocks to notice. I remembered always closing short potions to initiate long positions and not paying taxes until closing the long. Clearly, I've been confused this whole time.

kombucha2··on Paypal Patent Application: Expedited Virtual Currency Transaction System
Can attest that this is sound advice. I really like Paypal (though I readily admit they are often a bad corporate actor) but I just wish their fees weren't so ridiculous.

kombucha2··on Trump announces tariffs: 25% on steel and 10% on aluminum
According to USA Today Bernie did say that

[1][His campaign says Sanders also would impose countervailing tariffs on imports from China and Japan “until they stop dumping steel into the United States and stop manipulating their currencies.”]

kombucha2··on 10,000 year clock gets lowered into Texan mountain
Fair enough. The lengths they went to in order to accomplish the task despite its mundanity is, admittedly, cool. Maybe I should've said their methods weren't interesting or novel. Thanks for clarifying.
kombucha2··on 10,000 year clock gets lowered into Texan mountain
Here's what they did:

1. watched live streams of the flag

2. studyied the flight patterns and contrails of the airplanes passing overhead

3. mapped out what they saw and took their findings to flight radars to try and pinpoint a general area.

4. Using the knowledge gleaned from the flight patterns they found that the location was near Greeneville, Tennessee

5. users studied the star patterns and their movements and with that, plus a tweet that Labeouf sent out in a Tennessee diner, the trolls were able to narrow the area even further—to a small patch of land between a house and a river.

6. Drove around and honked their car horn until picked up by the live stream

This is not hard to do and hardly novel. Also done using all public information and the target used poor opsec.

kombucha2··on 10,000 year clock gets lowered into Texan mountain
Edit: *someone. either way- to those downvoting me: Please tell me how it's even remotely novel what they did?
kombucha2··on 10,000 year clock gets lowered into Texan mountain
I don't think it's all that amazing they just used some pretty standard tools/techniqies and available info..some learned about parallax in high school. I ask: how many of them id'd the Tsarnaev brothers??

kombucha2··on Litecoin and Ethereum buys and sells are temporarily disabled
Parent comment i replied to - "... hope cryto speculators won’t ask to be bailed out... "

To which I replied that someone has in fact already asked for a bail-out.

Title of Article - "Record ICO Tezos Founders Seek Bail-Out From Foundation"

It's only a matter of time before someone in the cryprocurrency sphere asks for a bail-out for reason or another.

I locked in gains with LTC a few weeks ago like a rube thinking there was going to be a correction :( Locked in some good gains but missed on 70 thou plus USD....sigh...gotta keep trying though right?
kombucha2··on Litecoin and Ethereum buys and sells are temporarily disabled
Already happened basically!
kombucha2··on Litecoin and Ethereum buys and sells are temporarily disabled
Is this the reason why? I've been scratching my head all day as to why LTC would pop today beyond the fact that the BTC rally cooled and people saw LTC as cheaper and thought "hey, thats cheap, let pump it!".
kombucha2··on The compelling case for working less
Yeah basically.
