kojeovo··on Management is forcing us to use AI
Company pays for enterprise tools (say claude code) that track who is using it and how much
kojeovo··on Old.reddit.com no longer works for logged out users
as an old.reddit user i'm surprised it's still up at all. they are surely losing money on people like us
kojeovo··on LLMs .what do you smoke beforehand?
just some alaskan thunderfuck my guy
kojeovo··on Ask HN: How do you go from writing code to deploying with agents?
Sadly I can't rely on manual testing in my professional work although for personal projects it's how I do it too
kojeovo··on Ask HN: How do you go from writing code to deploying with agents?
do you read the code and test code? how do you know that the tests are any good? in my experience a lot of the time it will just mock the expected outcome and then it passes but it doesn't actually test behaviour.
kojeovo··on Replit is the best coding agent
So this is hacker news in 2026...
kojeovo··on I spent 6 years building my Kanban as I hated how managers run the boards
looks like it can be vibe coded in 6 hours tbh
kojeovo··on Fear of Missing Code
A bunch of different things. Spend time with friends and family. Exercise. Be in nature. Sauna. Stop using tech a couple hours before bed. Read physical book in bed before sleeping
kojeovo··on I built a $15k Mac app for a random Reddit user
Aren't you supposed to ask the question on this part of HN?
kojeovo··on Ask HN: How do you feel when your coding assistant loses context?
now your coding assistant is suffering from dementia too. how sad. i ask it to save important stuff to a file
kojeovo··on Tell HN: Slow Down
> The number of supply chain attacks and the blast radius as a result of these is ever increasing

Holy vague post... can u be specific?

kojeovo··on Tech employment now significantly worse than the 2008 or 2020 recessions
Seems like a tough market for those nuking their prod db with an ai agent
kojeovo··on Write Perfect Emails in Seconds
What's the question?
kojeovo··on Ask HN: How do you use 5–10 minute gaps productively?
play with my dog, meditate, grab water, take a piss, smack my wife's ass, look out the window, bang out some pullups
kojeovo··on Using AI to negotiate a $195k hospital bill down to $33k
Yes really. Never seen a bill any time I've gone to the hospital. And if I never see nor have to pay the balance, how can I use AI to negotiate it down.
kojeovo··on Ask HN: I have a CS degree but taught for 5 years– how can I get back into tech?
For a first attempt it may help to keep the focus on what you find interesting. I just built a very simple web app that connects to strava api and emails me if "i'm slacking" based on my weekly time / mileage. The UI kinda sucks right now, but it works completely off a raspberry pi and I can access it from the web. If I'm looking to hire and you have a hosted, working example to point to then I would think you're fairly capable as a developer. You can add on to it and make it nicer to show off other skills.
kojeovo··on Ask HN: I have a CS degree but taught for 5 years– how can I get back into tech?
i would forget the online courses. pick something to build and ship it. if you're familiar with python you could start with a flask app + sqlite.
kojeovo··on Ask HN: How do you get your devs to understand your customers?
"we need to improve developer understanding of how our customers use the product".

Why? What impact is it having? Or is it just non technical people complaining similar to how a dev may complain that PMs should understand the code more.

kojeovo··on Ask HN: What is your fallback job if AI takes away your career?
the ai will program it to at that point
kojeovo··on Ask HN: Best books written on “How to think”?
Have you considered the opposite... writing a book? I think writing a book is going to help you learn to think better than reading ever would. Writing is basically refined thought.
kojeovo··on What are the best AI tools to turn an idea into MVP?
No single tool can do all of that for you. "Validating the idea" involves so much work that it's hilarious you expect an LLM tool to be able to validate an idea for you.
kojeovo··on Ask HN: I'm an MIT senior and still unemployed – and so are most of my friends
What is the significance of being a senior at MIT studying Course 6? No offense but that means nothing to me as I'm not American. I guess it means something significant if that's how you start describing yourself. Do you have work experience? What job are you expecting to get? What kind of side projects have you built? What value can you provide?
kojeovo··on Ask HN: Tired of startups – want a normal job. Help
20-24 applications isn't that much in the grand scheme. less than 1 a day for a month. keep trying man
kojeovo··on Show HN: My first side project, streamlined book clubs on Slack
is discussion history retained? or is it wiped cuz of free slack tier?
kojeovo··on Ask HN: How should I divide equity?
3% of 0 is the same as 10% of 0
kojeovo··on Ask HN: Would you still choose Ruby on Rails for a startup in 2025?
Yeah I recently spun up a rails project
kojeovo··on Show HN: I made a app that uses NFC as a physical switch to block distractions
I think its so that you can't easily toggle them off by using the phone software. for example, you are trying to get work done so you set two up: a focus one by your desk, another somewhere else where you have to get up. so you have to get up and walk over to the 2nd one to turn off the focus mode
kojeovo··on Ask HN: What's the one feature you'd want in a GitHub productivity tool?
stop me from causing an incident in production
kojeovo··on Show HN: Free mortgage analysis tool to avoid getting screwed by closing costs
You are also signalling that you have enough money to buy said house and are actively in the process of doing so which makes you a mark. And if there is a whole DB of this info readily available...

Anyways the security could be fine. But if a user's primary action is uploading that document then maybe wanna have more than a quick sentence on it.

kojeovo··on Show HN: Free mortgage analysis tool to avoid getting screwed by closing costs
It was not my intent to be highly constructive with my initial comment but if you read between the lines it's around how the landing page copy made me feel. Quick copy change could alleviate that. When the user's primary action in the app is uploading a private document then it may be good to have more than a quick sentence on privacy. Definitely something to split test.
