Why not start a Kickstarter for it?
knv··on Game Programmer Quits Job To Sell Street Food, Doubles Salary
Does she/he really like street food better? If so all the best to him/her.
knv··on Akka 2.2.0 released – distributed, concurrent applications on the JVM
Well I always thought that Scala itself is supposed to be the Erlang for jvm.
knv··on Akka 2.2.0 released – distributed, concurrent applications on the JVM
Is Akka supposed to do what OTP is doing for Erlang?
knv··on Roots – Better CSS

knv··on QLB (قلب) - Program in Arabic, display algorithms as calligraphy
And alcohol of course.
knv··on CoffeeScript: The beautiful way to write JavaScript
I wonder if it's feasible to hack the javascript engines (v8, spidermonkey, ...) to support languages CoffeeScript? In case the answer is positive how come nobody's doing that?
knv··on Linus Torvalds: Pearls before swine
>they bought a good number of 50s era jazz cds to listen to in their bus.

It's may be because Rod Morgenstien (their drummer) is basically a Jazz Fusion musician.

knv··on Aerial footage of uncontacted Amazon tribe
Time to send Missionaria Protectiva to spread the Panoplia Propheticus among them!
knv··on Software downloads for Iran
Google Earth is still blocked in Iran.
knv··on Arbor.js - HTML5 graph visualization library
Thanks for the pointer. Actually what I'm looking for is edit/add/remove functionality. Something suitable for making a web-based concept map.
knv··on Arbor.js - HTML5 graph visualization library
Is there an HTML renderer example for this somewhere? I'm not sure how can I make a graph interactive with canvas?
knv··on Replacing Mathematica with Python
What do you mean by "dynamic Lisp"?
knv··on [dead]
>Combine the technological advancements of South Korea with a pool of 'cheap' North Korean labor and you've got the makings of an economic powerhouse.

China can do that because of in their political system the concept of Human Rights is basically none-existent. The ruling elite can treat some portion of their population as they please and they don't have to answer to anybody.

knv··on Researchers Say Women Secretly Desire Hairy Geeks
... and never ever act upon that desire.
knv··on Python Machine Learning Code Repository
You may try Programming Collective Intelligence if you haven't already (it's actually a O'Reilly book ;).
knv··on Ask HN: What's your problem?
I need a web based wiki/concept-map hybrid.
knv··on CouchDB Book Now Available from O'Reilly
Judging by online version calling this book a definitive guide is somehow misleading. There are still many crucial details about CouchDB that you cannot find in this book and you have to search for them in mailing lists/blogs/wikis. I think a title like Starting Couchdb with Couchapp fits better for this book.
knv··on SourceForge Blocks Syria, Sudan, Iran, N. Korea & Cuba
What if those handful people had started/contributed to some open source project? Now they don't have access to their own code.
knv··on Gordon: An open source Flash runtime written in pure JavaScript
All three of them crashed my Chrome 4.0 tab.
knv··on State Department Makes Statement on Google Operations in China
Haven't read it but given the context of your question should be interesting. Thanks for the pointer.
knv··on A new approach to China
> When a "glastnost" comes to China

I think it's more accurate to say: If a "glastnost" comes to China. There's no rule of thumb that something like that is going to happen in every undemocratic country.

knv··on Ex-Bell Labs AI researcher unveils first life-size AI-driven sex robot
I am a little perplexed here. His friend died and then as a way to restore his personality he created a female sex robot?!
knv··on Mongodb vs couchdb
I'm all for map/reduce chaining.

knv··on Ask HN: How did you get started in hacking/programming?
>start with a specific goal/project in mind and find out what steps are required to get it done.

Best advice you can get especially when you start learning to program.

knv··on Programming languages worth checking out
It's so good nothing useful has ever been written in it.

Care to elaborate a little bit?
