kno··on Instant. Customizable. Search. [Rate my start-up]
This should be considered more of a side project than a startup.
kno··on 40% of Groupon merchants say "never again"
One issue Groupon have is to review their cut to the lower, recurring complaint is the fact that they charge almost at least 50% of the sale, for most small businesses the discount + Groupon cut is just unsustainable.
kno··on WeTab boss caught posting fake 5-star Amazon reviews, resigns
Given the fact that reviews make or breaks products, companies now have great incentives in playing the reviews game. I have seen so many crappy products being praise by crazy reviews with generic theme like "I bought it for my son, my husband and he loves it". High profile catch like this will make it harder for companies to just spin their way trough crappy products.
kno··on Ask HN: What Cool Android Projects are You doing?
I’m building the coolest marketing tool since the rolodex.
kno··on [dead]
"Guess what? I don't give a fuck!" Reality is I heard that before, if you run a startup I'm sure you have too.

Running a startup is way much difficult than working for Facebook.
kno··on Should Facebook Buy Skype?
Please no Facebook, they already control most of our lives lets not let them watch over what we say and who we talk to.
kno··on AOL acquires Thing Labs (Brizzly)
With their record of taking cool companies down the drain, I worry about this AOL shopping spree.
kno··on Newsflash: Founders Don't Really Care About AngelGate
Good points Rich; I just wonder if it is appropriate to post an opinion about this debate from company blog.
kno··on Ask HN: Offer of Employment retracted
What a careless advice, your are just telling him: just play lottery! With all due respect to YC, getting into YC is not easy.
kno··on Zynga Moves 1 Petabyte Of Data Daily; Adds 1,000 Servers A Week
1000 servers per week number is not just realistic. I will like to believe the author misspoke otherwise it will take more that Zynga employees just to configure 1000 servers in a week time.
kno··on [Ask HN] Review my weekend project - linkloo.com
The site is good, idea is fresh. Just one thing, search needs more work, I will suggest you make regular search work first before going instant.
kno··on Damning Zuckerberg IMs confirmed
These are 22 yo words, at the time he was still uncertain of the future as all of us have been at some point in our lives. It will be wrong and kinda unfair to hold these words against him.
kno··on Ask HN: Rate My Startup, Sprred
I have learned something over few years building tools for my startup and friends. You should identify constructive feedbacks and the one designed to tell everyone: stay away from this product. You should make an effort to respond vigorously to the latter so it does not suck out all the oxygen out of your product existence.

Your response here tells everyone: yeah his right you should come back when I have made the magic work according to this guy. What you don’t know is that the guy will criticize you anyway because he is actually criticizing your existence. My take is you should not let that happen.

kno··on Ask HN: Rate My Startup, Sprred
How can that feedback be helpful to you? he is just saying your service should not exist. I think instead of bending down and take it and being nice you should prove him wrong by arguing the WHY USE of your product.
kno··on Rate my startup: SwipeGood - Roundup every purchase you make & donate the change
It would be nice to have a how it works page, you must give me a compelling reason for me to signup my credit card, at least I will like to know how it work.
kno··on Search: now faster than the speed of type
Does anyone really thinks Google is too slow?
kno··on Ask HN: How much do founders pay themselves?
$33K is pretty low in most places in the US, How do you manage to stay focus on runing the business?
kno··on Ask HN: How much do founders pay themselves?
$275K not bad by most standard, you earned it!
kno··on Ask HN: How much do founders pay themselves?

Are you using TC name for your own free PR? It look like it to me.
kno··on Ask HN: My startup got an an acquisition offer. Please share your advice!
Please talk to a lawyer.
kno··on Facebook says it owns "book", suing startups using [generic]book.tld
In retrospect Microsoft could sue any company with soft in their name; God knows how many software companies use the suffix Soft. What Facebook is doing is simply not positive.
kno··on FiveThirtyEight relaunches on NYTimes.com
Not necessary better quality post but better income; key for the blog survival.
kno··on Y Combinator’s Biggest Demo Day Yet Draws Throng Of Investors
From what I can tell there’s a huge bond between the two
kno··on Bing is now powering Yahoo in US & Canada
Not to take anything away from the guys, but it is not fair to lineup DuckDuckGo aside Google, Bing and Cuil. It’s simply misleading, yes DuckDuckGo is an interface to search engines.
kno··on Ask HN: I'm an 18 year old programmer; How do I get a job?
Unless you are in a great need of cash, I will strongly advise you to go to college. Few years of college will do you better that just get you a degree.

When you are 18yo school is really important, not to be paternalistic here, you have all the time to really figure out what you want to be in life. If you were founding a startup with friends I would say go for it; if you parents support you I will say go to college please.
