kirk21··on Buffett FAQ
His letters to shareholders are real gems: http://amzn.to/1UrANYO

Took me a month or 2 to read them all.

kirk21··on Notch: “I've never felt more isolated”
Hope he uses his frustration (and brainpower + money) to do something that improves the world.
kirk21··on Slack, the Ultimate Workday Distractor
To keep my sanity I turned off most of the notifications. Just can't stop using Slack bots: https://medium.com/the-freelancing-life/rise-of-the-slack-bo...
kirk21··on The week I tried to unplug from Slack
I try to focus on DM's only. Written about my addiction to Slack bots here: https://medium.com/@RecurVoice/rise-of-the-slack-bots-5a7928...
kirk21··on M, a personal digital assistant inside Facebook Messenger
Pretty cool. Written about Slack bots before and my main complaint was that I missed 'one bot to rule the all': https://medium.com/@RecurVoice/rise-of-the-slack-bots-5a7928...
kirk21··on Shipwrecks Under Istanbul
"Byzantine shipwrecks found during the construction of the first-ever tunnel under the Bosporus held up work for years."

Why does it have to take that long to dig up these ships and start the works?

kirk21··on Project Sunroof
How do they make these maps? Do they have satellite images of different points of (sunny) days and run the analysis that way?
kirk21··on The definitive list of lists (of lists) curated on GitHub
Added this to the article: Overview of the Best Github projects https://medium.com/@RecurVoice/overview-of-the-best-github-p...

kirk21··on Windows 10's terrible installer
Installing was a piece of cake. The only thing that annoyed me slightly was a dialog that said 'We will be done soon' and it took a few minutes.
kirk21··on The Factory of Ideas: Working at Bell Labs [video]
Wow, must have been awesome.

Found this cool timeline of programming languages: http://cdn.knightlab.com/libs/timeline3/latest/embed/index.h...

kirk21··on SpaceX Releases Preliminary Analysis – Strut Failure Likely Cause [With Audio]
Man, some journalists are so lost. It is so shameful that people have to report about things they know zip about. (in this case they are doing ok'ish).
kirk21··on SpaceX Releases Preliminary Analysis – Strut Failure Likely Cause [With Audio]
Yeah, Elon sounded sad that they just needed to update the software to make it happen. They could have saved the Dragon with this adjustment.
kirk21··on Airless Tires Roll Towards Consumer Vehicles
Great article about a previous innovation of Michelin that failed: In the 1990s Michelin developed a revolutionary new kind of tire with sensors and an internal hard wheel that could run almost perfectly for 125 miles after a puncture. They forgot to involve the ecosystem.
