115 $/MWh.

Thats what EDF's stating their NUWARD SMR (up to 400MW) will cost in France, just as comparison. Not cheap for the taxpayers in Italy.

Well, I think it's fine, building jumbo planes Or taking a ride on a cosmic train Switch on summer from a slot machine Yes, get what you want to if you want 'Cause you can get anything

I know we've come a long way We're changing day to day But tell me, where do the children play?

Well, you roll on roads over fresh green grass For your lorry loads pumping petrol gas And you make them long, and you make them tough But they just go on and on, and it seems that you can't get off

Oh, I know we've come a long way We're changing day to day But tell me, where do the children play?

I think this is a quite disturbing article, comparing religious belonging to some sort of intellectual superiority.

If you find it difficult to scale up databases, try looking at CouchDB instead http://couchdb.apache.org/index.html

We scale Streamfile.com with Erlang. Both front & back-end.

Check out:

http://www.erlang-web.org/

This actually makes sense, Google's new policy is to work on problems on a scale that no one else can. Too hot in the data center? Ah, just turn it off and redirect the traffic! :)

New Streamfile features just added! 1. As a downloader/receiver you can now see upload/sender progress bar in real-time 2. Optional PIN/password code + .zip/disk encryption if a password is set by uploader/sender. Any feedback on current functions or future functionality you would like to see?

Looks like it only offers 25Mb as max file size?

Spokesperson Peter Sunde confirms this to Swedish IDG.

Good point, thanks.

We got a bunch of feedback actually on the content-type issue. Definitely something to fix.

bayleo: good point, maybe we should change the order on the bottom navigation bar..

Good question. I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with that Sweden has one of the highest penetration of fiber optic networks due to government subsidization starting early 90-ties.

The plan is soon to launch an API where you pay a monthly fee to integrate streamfile functionality into your own site/domain. Plus we will charge for the regular service, that are currently for free until the 31st of August.

I agree, however we would like not to get users confused that Stremfile.com is yet another web 2.0 app with large headlines etc. We want it to breathe backend and be very minimalistic. I mean look at Google.com?

Will look into and solve this asap.

Nice work Nirmal, just sent you an email..

Agree. Actually, We will shortly add an embedded movie clip that greets visitors with a short presentation and explanation of the service.

In the beginning we will add customers manually and charge them via www.kreditor.se

Will look in to the Opera + Ubuntu bug asap. Thanks for that.

I don't believe eatlime have any "streaming" functionality such as starting the DL before the uploader is finished? They may be fast now, but can their platform scale?

Thanks. Got your point and to some parts agree, let's see what we deside on.

The site may appear slow to north american visitors due to the fact that all servers are located in Sweden, Nothern Europe (this is why we also can afford the bandwith at the moment).

Plans are soon to add server nodes in U.S, Middle East and Hong Kong.

Streamfile is thought to work as a service aimed to enterprise environment where bittorent clients and ports are blocked on most client computers & networks. I agree that the streaming progress can be presented in a better way, we are working on this as we speak.
