keploy··on Show HN: Open-source implementation of Meta's Unit TestGen–LLM in Golang
Since the LLM needs more context around mocks for the unit test, it is better in generating test cases above existing test cases. Not good for generating from scratch for complex applications.
keploy··on Accidents, link broken
This is a great step if true. I think it's wonderful if someone wants these features but it should take an action to enable them. That way the less-technical users don't get tripped up by the features suddenly appearing with an update. It also means there will be a focus on keeping the system working both with or without these features, instead of having a system that is broken without them.
keploy··on Real-world mileage standard for new vehicles rising to 38 mpg in 2031
There will be no cars left. This needs to apply to TRUCKS. This is why you have so many trucks on the road now. One set of standards for trucks and one set of standards for cars is not working.
keploy··on Electric Cars Are Suddenly Becoming Affordable
They should really define "affordable".

keploy··on Sony Will Use AI to Cut Film Costs, Says CEO
Of all major film companies it makes sense that Sony would be the first to push out AI into movies as a lot of their movies already feel like corporate sludge so if the artistic process is already dying over there why not add AI to further that process.
keploy··on Instagram will use users' content to train it's AI

keploy··on AI is shockingly good at making fake nudes and causing havoc in schools
Man, I can't imagine what it's like being in high school in 2024.

I'm so glad I missed the social media frenzy.

keploy··on YouTube stops working for millions as war against ad blockers intensifies
Chilled on YouTube for like 40 mins the other day. My ad blocker zapped nearly 1,400 ads. Yeah, no thanks, that ad blocker's stayin' on for sure.

keploy··on Toyota's hybrid bet, once mocked. Now gambles on the combustion engine
Man, this console gen's gotta be the wildest yet. They're already chattin' about droppin' the next one, and it feels like the PS5 and Xbox SX barely got any big-time games. What's up with that?
keploy··on W.H. rejected offer from TikTok allowing US gov. to oversee social media app
I wouldn’t want a popular social media app to be ran by the U.S. government. Got to have some separation.
keploy··on New BYD Hybrid Can Drive Non-Stop for More Than 2k Kilometers
You only need about 35 hp to keep a 4000lb car cruising at 70 mph. The idea? Run the powertrain totally on battery, then toss in a 50 or 70 hp engine just to charge it up.

It's flipping the hybrid script: instead of using electric for low demand and gas for more juice, it's electric for the main power and gas just for the battery.

This puts the heavy lifting on the 90% efficient powertrain and eases up on the super inefficient 25% one.

Toyota should've been all over this back in 2015.

keploy··on Man Plans Titanic-Level Sub Trip to Prove It's Safe After OceanGate
Honestly, the same craft that wiped everyone out had done okay before it bombed. Just one good dive doesn’t prove it’s all safe. But real talk, that dude was slammed by everyone and warned by pros for cutting corners. Might not be the whole industry that’s sketchy, you know? Sounds more like these wild cowboy types who ignore the rules are the real danger.
keploy··on TTE: Terminal Text Effects
Haha..I get where you're coming from. However, tool that show reports and outputs, that are CLI-first, can get a lot of help in improving the developer experience. Honestly, I was looking for something like this for my tool!
keploy··on AI headphones let wearer listen to a single person in a crowd by looking at them
Imagine it helping people with Autism and ADHD! ADHD people have hard time listening to 1 person because part of the brain tries to listen to all other conversations going around.

keploy··on Microsoft should accept and give up Windows 11, throw everything at Windows 12

keploy··on Microsoft should accept and give up Windows 11, throw everything at Windows 12
Or just roll it back to Windows 10, stick to that promise that it was the final version, and cut out all this nonsense. Most folks don’t wanna swap out their hardware just to get Windows 11, deal with those ads, or the super snoopy AI that digs through their data. And nobody's sitting around hoping Microsoft's gonna drop something even sketchier.

keploy··on Star Citizen Tops $700M, Still No Release Date
Putting all the cash drama aside, it's kinda wild seeing tech finally catch up to it. Even though it hasn't dropped release yet, it's already starting to look like old news.
keploy··on TTE: Terminal Text Effects
This is cool! we can utilize the 'Burn' or 'ErrorCorrect' effects to highlight warnings or errors in logs dynamically, ensuring critical issues stand out in ongoing terminal output.
keploy··on Star Citizen Tops $700M, Still No Release Date
lol. Until the money well runs dry there never will be any. The gig is just too good to miss out on.
keploy··on The Internet Archive is under a DDoS attack
