Are there studies about this? What attracts more talent:
a) Pay increase for everyone in an industry. b) Larger pay increases, but limited to the best performers.
Then he uses the same techniques to promote Trump. Which is fine. People can support whichever candidate. But Adams adamantly denied his support.
The agreement protects Vice from being sued for the second scenario, but not the first. Though I've encountered employees who interpret it as "anything goes."
People who work on search engines, build family friendly filters, or categorize apps and movies have to deal with porn. But that doesn't mean employees are allowed to watch porn. One story I heard about Bing is that they go to a covered conference room whenever they need to view adult material. A good idea to not expose porn to bystanders.
Apparently penis in popcorn is a thing and it's from a movie.

This might be a generational issue. I have older relatives who can't use more than one app. If at that. Maybe the people who complain about these things are just bad at discovering other apps and platforms.

Microsoft lost a case a few years ago when a female manager made up allegation to get a male employee fired. One of the employees she tried to convince to lie testified. That case may have influenced their decision to extend an offer.
On second thought, more likely that companies just don't care about a single allegation.
As for the second part, valley employees have gotten in trouble for criticizing "white". Wasn't there an outrage over Github?

The man is an elected official in Alabama. Also an idiot and a bigot who think only Christians can be elected to Congress. It's okay to look down on him for being ignorant, but a lot of the comments attack his regional accent. That's not okay.
But the unreasonable people saying "gay people are evil" are not even pretending to be joking. They have killed.
So I think Sam lacks empathy. Try this thought exercise. Replace the word "gay" in Sam's essay with "white" or whatever group you belong to. How does that make you feel? Would you want to work with that person? How well do you think that will go over in SF, HN, or America?
I haven't heard complaints about Target. So I could be wrong, but I hope competition includes competition for talent, which means better treatment of employees.
