julianapostate··on Congress' push to regulate Big Tech is fizzling out
dismantling public eduation? Have you been to a college? conservatives aren't allowed in the building. If it sucks conservatives had nothing to do with that.
julianapostate··on Inflation driven by corporate profits, costing $2,126 per American
trump started printing money during an unprecedanted employment and business crisis, airlines and much critical business would have likely collapsed in months without that intervention.

then trump wanted to do it again probably just to get reelected or something dumb but at that point the mid-point of republic thought was not really eager for more stimulus.

and now at this point the economy is fully humming along and there is no employment or business crisis, business actually have more work than they can hire for and yet democrats still want stimulus. so i can only conclude that any stimulus is ostensibly for "crisis" but really its just form of wealth redistribution since stimulus checks go not to the non-rich but will end up being paid for by the rich. so for democrat stimulus is now a form of policy implementation by a precedented and popular mechanism.

julianapostate··on Inflation driven by corporate profits, costing $2,126 per American
the reason for which trump started it are totally different than the reasons for which democrats want to continue it.
julianapostate··on Could housing be cheaper and better if we stop building so many staircases?
Government agencies dont allow authoritative sources to remark on their incompetence. See the last 2 years as a citation of that.

julianapostate··on Firefighters say they’re swamped by calls for routine care from senior homes
The problem of availability already exists because emergency services are abused on non-emergencies this stops those abuses freeing it up for real emergencies, no person no-matter how poor is going to balk at using an emergency service on an actual emergency cuz maybe they get charged 5 bucks if its not "emergency enough"
julianapostate··on Dude, where’s my stuff
One is a real problem, actually experienced and only getting worse. One is a pretend problem that is only talked about and never experienced.

not sure why shouldnt be on the list, the IMF discussed and advocated it, and the Bangladeshi gov followed their lead.

the definition of a conspire is to "work together to someone else's detriment", im sure from the perpective of someone who didn't benefit from that economic development they "conspired".

julianapostate··on US’s wealthiest 1% are failing to pay $160bn a year in taxes, report finds
> The Federal Reserve can, but the government cannot.

however every crisis for which the government feels it needs to print money it asks the federal reserve which appears to usually oblige them

their seperation to me seems just like some kind of circuit breaking control, but generally they will align to print money when they want, unless im missing something?

julianapostate··on Media trust hits new low
Why don’t people trust the media? Exactly this type of consistent ham fisted reasoning that any intelligent person can see right through which obviously demonstrates an agenda.

julianapostate··on I Was Robbed in San Francisco While the Cameras Rolled
As i was getting a flu shot, i saw a lone young guy enter a Walgreens near oakland with an empty duffel bag intent on stealing a few hundred dollars in deodorant and face cream. As he proceed to use his arms to shovel the first batch in, the security guard, one or two employs and a bystanders just started shaming him. "Dont do it!!", "Please no!!", "you can still walk out!!". They were screaming at him at the top of their lungs for 10 second from both ends of the aisle... and it worked! it was surreal but with the empty bag, He walked out distraught. The security guard let him pass out. I couldn't believe it, but he just could not take having so many people screaming at him for it and carry it out .. i guess he just felt too guilty. maybe if he had'nt gone alone he would have had the strength to continue which is why i see people operate in groups.

Wouldn't believe it could happen before i saw it. "criminals are so desperate these no point" is not something i buy anymore, they clearly aren't always fully sold on what their doing, especially if young and any little thing could be enough for them to turn back.

julianapostate··on Could index funds be “worse than Marxism”?
It’s not the real world just the media’s world if you ignore Them their evil actions and effects “mostly” goes away.
julianapostate··on Has the era of overzealous cleaning finally come to an end?
The authorities/institutions are always advancing their agenda. truth/lying is irrelevant. In most cases the agenda is consistent over years so it’s hard to notice the changes. During Covid the health agency agendas pivoted so rapidly their agenda changes where more abrupt. First, they needed to keep hospitals from getting overwhelmed so they said stuff about REAL n95 masks not working so healthcare could get them. Then they needed to stop people getting Covid figured masks might work so they said wear a face covering .. it can’t hurt. And then trump conspicuously didn’t wear a mask deep into the pandemic so it became about making trump look stupid and stopping his re-election, so the justification for masks came in full force shortly after trump went around not wearing one. Had trump been one of the first people wearing a mask talking about “China flu” early on. this whole mask policy would have been flipped.

julianapostate··on Silicon Valley’s Safe Space
Im of the opinion that the “true position” of the writer behind writing is irrelevant. Teachers are supposed to grade essays anonymously to avoid biases against students but here we are preoccupied not only with the writer, but his “true position”.
julianapostate··on Silicon Valley’s Safe Space
The word racism is meaningless to many people now. the definition is too encompassing and by denouncing it, particularly in conversation with a political activist, you have no clue what you are signing up for.

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/06/dictionary...

From the linked article: Merriam-Webster captures this as well, noting that racism can mean “a political or social system founded on racism.”

So by denouncing racism I am literally denouncing the entirety of civilization I guess.

julianapostate··on Silicon Valley’s Safe Space
Ironically, there was a recent astral codex article about how much writings sucks and becomes useless when you have to appeal to too many stakeholders by constantly re-stating the obvious to keep everyone happy.
