You've done some interesting things with your pricing page. Couple comments: - I'd reduce the complexity of the page by removing the drop down boxes for impressions and just changing the pricing buckets to up to the maximum impressions offered by that bucket. The way you've got it now means there's effectively 13 plans. - I've found that listing the features in order from those included in all plans to those included in the fewest plans to work the best.
(Air Video still doesn't show on top when you type Air Video as apparently Apple's iTunes API is ranking Air Mouse Pro higher)
EDIT: Fixed the contact form, thanks for pointing that out!
I built it because iTunes is slow. Try searching iTunes and clicking on an App (to read the description). It takes me 5+ seconds. This takes ~1 second.
We're offering an iPad for a successful referral.
I'm trying to find a chat platform (either native mac based or web app) that keeps really good chat logs.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Do you know what kind of logs Campfire keeps, and how long it keeps them for?
I had inquired a few times to purchase the domain, but never got very far with the negotiation.
They sent me an email last summer advertising their "No Serious Offer Refused" sale. I responded with my offer, and was patient. Close to the end of the month, a sales rep called me back, and I found he was much more willing to a negotiate (probably to meet sales targets at the end of the month).
The big take aways for me were to 1) be patient when dealing with them, 2) don't sound over eager to get the domain, and 3) commit to an amount you're willing to spend before going into the negotiation.
I've worked on some MacHeist developer relations projects before, and one of the benefits is the massive email list. Dan Grover, the developer of ShoveBox, participated in one of the bundles recently, and sums up his feelings in this comment: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=945891.
Cloud Sites (which is $100/month) is a clustered, high availability hosting platform. I haven't personally used it, but based on my great experience with Cloud Servers, I'd expect it to be worth every penny.
I spoke to the team about the stat, and we agree with you that the uploading of a logo might not be the only cause for that increase in response rates, but we feel it is a big reason. Based on a sample of our enterprise customers, we feel this is a valid stat that shows the increase in usage across all users.
We A/B test a lot of different things in our app, and I agree it would be interesting to further test this stat.
Thanks for your comments!
1) Free, limited number of responses (maybe 5/month?), ad supported.
2) $5, Unlimited number of responses, no ads.
3) Skinable version for companies, allows them to manage questions/responses asked by employees.
