jpdelatorre··on Intro to Large Language Models [Video]
This video was very informative and clear for a beginner like me who is curious about AI and ML. I'd like to learn more about how to finetune llama for different tasks and domains. Does anyone have any recommendations for resources that explain this concept in a simple way and gradually introduce the technical details and tools required?

jpdelatorre··on Realtime streaming from torrents in the browser
Well technically it's not but I think the objective is quite the same. It lets me stream video from a torrent.

There's another service that I use that exactly do the same thing and it works well. http://put.io
jpdelatorre··on We Need Viable Search Engine Competition
Here's an idea... how about instead of using just one search engine website, browsers will have a functionality that allows you to search for something and have it query to 3 different search engine at the same time? Users can configure which 3 search engine he/she wants to use. That way, website owners won't be so affected when one search engine screwed him up.
jpdelatorre··on Kevin Rose’s idea for a new blogging platform called Tiny
That concept would be interesting for status updates. Like having a blurred background image of you when you posted the update?
jpdelatorre··on Ask HN: .net vs .co, Which TLD would you choose?
I think .io appeals only to techie/developer market
jpdelatorre··on Google Free Zone - Share and search on your phone with no data charges
Agree. They should use different APN.

Hope Smart would support it also

jpdelatorre··on How to do a great product promo video for less than $200
It looks pretty decent and gets the message across. I would suggest to add either sound fx or background music to spice it up a little bit. :)
jpdelatorre··on How to do a great product promo video for less than $200
I'm curious how long the entire process took to finish (in terms of man-hours).
jpdelatorre··on Introducing Outlook.com - Modern Email for the Next Billion Mailboxes
The only compelling feature for me on this is the Skype integration. I would love to use GTalk/Hangout if only more people use it.
jpdelatorre··on .mail app
Google Wave tried to fix that problem but with the radical change in the way we use email, it failed.
jpdelatorre··on Chrome Overtakes Firefox Globally for First Time
I love Chrome since I don't have to install external flash player plugin which is kinda annoying. Chrome has a built-in flash player. You don't have to update flash and restart all your browser.
jpdelatorre··on Letters to Amanda
This is pretty cool. Who made this (just curious)?
jpdelatorre··on The Top 100 most popular Google+ users
Will be very surprised if Bill Gates is on G+ although he's on Twitter. One thing for sure, Steve Jobs will never be there.
jpdelatorre··on The Top 100 most popular Google+ users
He's also on Twitter
jpdelatorre··on Minimum Database Wrapper for PHP projects
Almost all PHP frameworks have already DB wrapper built-in. If you're a PHP dev and not using a framework, then you should consider using one.
jpdelatorre··on The Top 100 most popular Google+ users
Interesting... Mark Z. has more followers than Larry and Sergey.
jpdelatorre··on Very clever story telling using HTML and Javascript...
I'm referring to the technology/approach he used to present the story and not the actual story.
jpdelatorre··on Google just launched prizes.org
It feels to me that it's more of trying to show independence of Slide team from Google.
jpdelatorre··on Very clever story telling using HTML and Javascript...
Looks really cool. This would be an amazing tablet app for children. +1 if there's a voice over option. Although it seems a LOT of work to put together.
