Here are my learnings of what I have understood about building a product and getting to $5k/mo. If you haven't gotten your first customer yet, this post is for you.

After launching FundBase, like other SaaS companies, we also struggled for 6 months. No sales, no revenue, only improvements on the product. But it did not last forever.

Our mistake? we only focused on these platforms for launching(We are B2B)

Did this work? No. Beacuse FundBase targeted indie hacker and makers who always bootstrap for their side projects and they rarely raise from VCs and angels

What Changed? 1.Reddit

We used Anvaka and Gummysearch and search for the companies on Reddit

then visited the subreddits on Reddit we've found and search for fundraising problems

We found complaints from potential founders and DM them

Linkedin(80% of our customers come from Linkedin)

We searched communities and potential fundraisers

We used GetProspect for this

and DM them about our product

This idea was born during our own fundraising process, as I was always searching for a simple way to find the right investors in my country. So I decided, why not find them with a simple sentence?
