johntdyer··on Show HN: ZeroFS – Make S3 your primary storage
Is this only was S3 or any S3 compliant service? Does it support any sort of storage tiering ?
johntdyer··on Show HN: Barstool, a Prettier macOS Menubar
Looks super cool, is there a trial or do I have to buy it first to even try it ?
johntdyer··on Ask HN: Has GitHub's web UI gotten tremendously slow or is it just me?
Ha, try Gitlabs UI then talk me me …
johntdyer··on Trump platform bought digital currencies before crypto summit
Nothing to see here, carry on folks…. Nothing to see at all
johntdyer··on Show HN: Keypub.sh – OAuth for the terminal using SSH keys
Looks interesting but your tls cert isn’t valid on your site
johntdyer··on Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S.
Yea, well Myasthenia Gravis is not terminal, so I’ll likely be on Solaris for the next 30-40 years… so $28,000,000 USD :(
johntdyer··on Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S.
Well… Because my doctor prescribed it and said it’s necessary, and as it turns out it was…. I’m just thankful that I have good insurance…
johntdyer··on Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S.
Yep, I can’t testify personally that Solaris is a treatment , not a cure
johntdyer··on Most Expensive Drugs in the U.S.
So fwiw I take Solaris every two weeks to treat Myasthenia Gravis and it probably saved my life. It’s an auto immune disease that causes voluntary muscles to quickly tire, and you would be surprised what actually qualifies at voluntary, eg your diaphragm…. So yea, these drugs may be unaffordable and that needs to change , but they do save lives.
johntdyer··on AnyBar: OS X menubar status indicator

johntdyer··on Ask HN: Do you think that because of Spell Check humans will forget how to spell?
Yep :)
johntdyer··on Ask HN: How much recurring income do you generate and from what?
I am a Google apps reseller and have a few customers. My customers get the accounts for a small discount then what they would direct and I make a small margin. Right now the total on that is about 1200 a year. I pretty much use that as a "toy slush fund" and use it to buy geeky stuff without getting in trouble from the boss ( wife ).
johntdyer··on How real US economy collapse is?
Wow, this is gibberish
johntdyer··on Ask HN: Your preferred cloud API for voice/SMS and why?
Definitely biased here, since I work for Voxeo Labs, but Tropo is free for development, supports SIP, SMS, Shortcodes, TFN's ITFN's, ect. We also have great support ( 24/7 ) and fantastic documentation. Our product is also available on premise, should you want to go that route. It is also being deployed into many large carrier clouds, such as AT&T, Deutsch Telekom, ect.
johntdyer··on AT&T Announces New Call Management API and Alpha API Program
Hey Jeff,

Did you check out the sample applications, they have a pretty well documented example ( https://gist.github.com/3125729 )

johntdyer··on AT&T Announces New Call Management API and Alpha API Program
I wouldn't call it white labeling Tropo exactly, especially since AT&T is clearly stating that it's Call Control API is powered by Tropo.
johntdyer··on AT&T Announces New Call Management API and Alpha API Program
Woot, Way to go Tropo !
johntdyer··on Ask HN: Who Is Hiring? (November 2012)
Voxeo Labs is looking for full-time DevOps team members.

We're looking for someone to work remote in, or around, the Atlanta or San Jose area. We're flexible for the right person, but a local is highly desirable.
