I have two valetudo compatible L10s. Where did you source your dongle?

I love my Chevy Bolt EUV. Normal door handles inside and out. Manual open/close trunk. Normal window controls. Normal infotainment unit with carplay/AA. Buttons and knobs for volume, HVAC, and hazard lights. Normal stick controls for turn signals and wipers.

It’s a great, simple EV and my only knock against it is the slow max charging speed making it not ideal for multiple stop road trips.

johnnyletrois··on Volkswagen’s ID. 2ALL Is a $26,000 EV Hatchback You’d Want to Drive
I love my Chevy Bolt EUV. It handles great on the freeway and is very manageable in the city. I’ve had it since October 2022 and put about 6,000 miles on it. It has been flawless so far.

There’s an entire forum dedicated to this at https://www.bogleheads.org/.

That’s not an argument, that’s simple contradiction!
johnnyletrois··on Boeing CEO ousted as 737 Max crisis deepens
We had new jet skis on a boat I worked on. The owners were scheduled for a trip soon and we needed to break them in. We had a poor deckhand running up and down fjords for days breaking them in. In BC. In winter. Poor guy was a champ though.

Germany’s mittelstand is remarkable. Sweden’s domestic manufacturing industry is also impressive.

Edit for spelling.

Had a Kiwi heli pilot on a yacht I worked on. Amazing pilot. He was a heli logging pilot before moving to yachts.
johnnyletrois··on Is it time to treat sugar like smoking?
I think Swedes just end up buying more when visiting systembolaget. And students buy van loads on road trips to Germany.
johnnyletrois··on Employees Start to Feel the Squeeze of High-Deductible Health Plans
Not all employers offer HSAs to go along with their HDHPs. Mine doesn’t and it’s very frustrating. I want to save pretax money in an HSA but I can’t.
johnnyletrois··on Node-Red – Flow-Based Programming for the Internet of Things
Yes. Running in a docker container alongside my HomeAssistant container. Works great and a much improved upgrade over homeassistant’s native YAML. If I knew python, I would probably just use appdaemon instead of nodered tho. Nodered with HomeAssistant has been rock solid for me. HomeAssistant is pretty much now just a state engine and all my automations are in nodered.

johnnyletrois··on Cargo ships that sink when their cargo suddenly liquefies
This is called free surface effect with liquids and as has been mentioned by other posts is a common and known problem with liquids. Free surface effect is a core component of vessel stability and is part of maritime stability education.
johnnyletrois··on Why is Stubbs BBQ sauce for sale in a Prague grocery store?
My wife is Swedish and her family live in Sweden, but we live in the US. Every year we ask them what they want us to bring them when we make our annual pilgrimage to the homeland. My brother in law wanted bbq sauce, so my wife bought six bottles of sweet baby rays sauce. She took a photo of the bottles and sent it to him. He laughed because sweet baby rays is available in Sweden at a lot of the grocery stores. So she went back to the store and bought six bottles of Stubbs. On our last day in Stockholm I was at the grocery store and saw a new display for Stubbs. Can't win.

Zero regrets.
johnnyletrois··on Pizza Physics: Why Brick Ovens Bake the Perfect Italian-Style Pie
Or a Big Green Egg or similar Kamado-style cooker. I've been making pizza on my BGE all summer, and it is fantastic. Cook for 2.5-3min at 600f, rotate 180 degrees, and cook another 2.5-3min.

Kamado cookers make great ovens, smokers, and grills.

johnnyletrois··on Ask HN: What were/are you doing at age 25? What would you change?
Working on megayachts as a deck officer spending summers in the Med and winters in the Caribbean. Eleven years later I'm a lawyer working in house.
johnnyletrois··on The physics of baking good pizza
I baked three pies in my BGE last night. Delicious. Pizza stone on grate on plate setter and bake 2.5 minutes at 650-700, rotate 180 degrees, and another 2-3 minutes. Delicious. Easy shortcut is to use Trader Joe's crust.
