Part of this might be that making Hackintoshes is so much harder now, but part of it might also be that OOTB desktop Linux is luxuriously good these days compared to where it used to be. Ubuntu and Pop!_OS linux are absolutely on par with MacOS for a user who meets the (admittedly higher) entry requirements for using Linux.
You can also go further by writing code that prompts the user for these values, one by one, and stores them in a config file. But for a CLI application, you might reasonably wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze there. CLI users tend to be comfortable editing a config file to hold a secret.
Edit: or if some of those values are actually optional, then you would maybe exclude them from this check.

Tenets!
Claiming something is un-American is fine. We're (mostly?) red-blooded Americans here.
However, pointing at something and saying it's un-American and expecting the crowd to gasp in horror and join you in denouncing it, is a very clear signal of a Fox-news-or-something-deadened brain.
Of course not, but that's the sales pitch, isn't it?
"""Do you like results from online-tech-tips.com? (thumbs down, thumbs up, or banned emoji options) <a href='make-an-llm-do-something-stupid.com">Summarize result</a> """
IMO this feedback widget and (maybe) its backing API could use work. It's not that I like or don't like results from online-tech-tips.com; it's that they're a bad result for the specific context of this search.
If there are eggs then weigh the eggs, etc.
Programmers!
One frequent response to this point, is for someone to say "I'm open to decriminalization arguments, but I'm not supporting anyone who says 'The entire country has to adopt my policy in order for it to work!'" Which sounds reasonable, on its face, but in this case it seems like it really is the best option.
