Globalping and jsDelivr took years to gain a meaningful user base
I tested against them, as well as other infrastructure I control that is not part of the network, and compared to the ipinfo results as well
This brute force approach works much better than I expected as long as you have enough probes and a bit of luck.
But of course there are much better and smarter approaches to this, no doubt!
Globalping offers real-time result streaming and a simpler user experience with focus on integrations https://globalping.io/integrations
For example you can use the CLI as if you were running a traceroute locally, without even having to register.
And if you need more credits you can simply donate via GitHub Sponsors starting from $1
They are similar with an overlapping audience yet have different goals
Email me if you would like to get some additional credits to test it out, dakulovgr gmail.
I had fun making it but please note that the current implementation is just a demo and far from a proper production tool.
If you really want to use it then for best possible results you need at least 500 probes per phase.
It could be optimized fairly easily but not without going over the anon user limit which I tried to avoid
To my eyes everything looked better in BF1.
Maybe it's trickery but it doesn't matter to me. BF6, new COD, and other games all look pretty bad. At least compared to what I would expect from games in 2025.
I don't see any real differences from similar games released 10 years ago.
I'm curious why graphics are stagnating and even getting worse in many cases.
The Chrome enhanced grammar checker is still awful after decades.
Maybe the AI hype will finally fix this? I'm still surprised this wasn't the first thing they did.
Currently it's at stage of "RIPE Atlas with better UI and UX" but I plan to expand the functionality to cover a lot more use cases like ISPs,Cloud,Edge rankings and performance
There is also a tool to simplify migration https://www.jsdelivr.com/unpkg
I'm using a DNS ad blocker and I could set-up overrides of certain news websites to a different hostname which in turn would redirect to the bypass URL.
It sounds doable but I haven't seen anything like that
I have YT premium and now this removed all the annoying integrated ads as well.
The pressure from Cloudflare Workers was quite stressful and since I was bootstrapped competing was very difficult. I ended up joining them eventually https://appfleet.com/blog/appfleet-joins-cloudflare/
But good luck with EdgeNode!
The first one looks like polished quality software while the second one looks like some junky app made by a solo dev on his free time that doesn't care how it looks like
I'm like the author, I consider the M MacBooks very impressive but I dislike the OS itself.
And it was very unexpected that Chrome underperform so much, without it it's a complete deal breaker for me.
A niche product, I gather data about anycasted IP addresses and sell the database. No idea how to market it but it makes more than $500/month
It's a lot easier to get them to give you free services worth thousands of dollars than donate 20$ per month.
Another problem is that the people building these projects are often developers who focus on the technology and completely ignore the marketing side of things. Or simply have no idea how to do marketing. Which makes it finding sponsors almost impossible.
Our project is a good example of that, I've been trying to fix the marketing issue for years and I'm still struggling https://github.com/jsDelivr
If anyone has any ideas how to make it more attractive to companies to support us please let me know, I would really appreciate it.
I definitely could use one but it's been impossible to find someone both serious about it and experienced at the same time. Especially if you're based in Europe.
As far as I know Fly.io also went the same path of using the Nomad stack and tools.
We did something similar at appfleet.com and also decided against Kubernetes. We opted to write a lightweight manager of Firecracker VMs.
