jennita··on What Silicon Valley Thinks of Women
Thanks for fixing that.
jennita··on I emailed the CEO of T-Mobile and he killed my contract
Once, my phone actually flushed down the toilet, and I tweeted about it. T-mobile ended up sending me an upgraded version of my phone the next day, for free! Pretty sure they did it because they were laughing so hard about my ridiculousness. But that's cool by me. :)
jennita··on The Web Developer's SEO Cheat Sheet 2.0
Good feedback! We usually try to make all our stuff easy to get and don't put people through a sign up form, but it's good to know that the crazy big button looks a bit spammy. (I work at Moz. :)
jennita··on Why am I being endorsed for skills and expertise I do not claim on my profile?
I just realized I've been recently endorsed for "fly fishing" haha. That system is quite a joke.
jennita··on Google +1's Correlation with Higher Search Rankings
Why not state that the other items listed in the post are true? (Yes, I work at Moz)
jennita··on I need terrible female engineers
What I got from this is that we should let a woman either fail or excel based on her own skills and actions, not based on all women's actions. Women have a ton of pressure on them to be great at their jobs, plus be pretty, and fashionable, and geeky, and cool, etc. It's too much. Let each woman be who they are.

The xkcd says it all.

jennita··on LinkedIn's Most Glaring Deficiencies
I literally spent 45 minutes one time trying to figure out how to un-friend someone on LinkedIn.
jennita··on Moz.com requires users to change passwords after hashes were leaked
Hi, I work for Moz. It's not a phishing attack, in fact we sent the email. You just need to go to moz.com/login to start the password change process.

There's more info in the post here: http://devblog.moz.com/2013/06/how-we-fixed-a-password-expos...

jennita··on How SEOMoz sent us a takedown notice.
He doesn't work for Moz, but I do. John is a "Moz Global Associate", but doesn't get paid by Moz. I however have commented a couple times and assumed my responses were enough to display I work there. But I should have definitely stated it more clearly as well.

aren't you pleasant
jennita··on How SEOMoz sent us a takedown notice.
Hah sorry about that. I've been open in this thread that I work there, should have mentioned it again. :)
jennita··on How SEOMoz sent us a takedown notice.
Yep, that's why I said we. :)
jennita··on How SEOMoz sent us a takedown notice.
It's not just the name. Doz in and of itself has no meaning similar to Moz. The issue is the combination of name + tool focus.
jennita··on How SEOMoz sent us a takedown notice.
I'd say we're not trying to "look any better" we just want to be sure both sides of the situation are out there.
jennita··on Avoiding Burnout
haha let's hug it out! :D
jennita··on Avoiding Burnout
Dang :( I'm really sorry you have to deal with this. I've definitely not been through anything like that. Thanks for explaining it better, I really had no idea what it was. (I also just googled it and am reading more about it) Don't worry, I hope it didn't bother you that I tried to relate to it. I do hope you can find a way to get better though!
jennita··on Avoiding Burnout
I've been through something very similar to this as well and it was a severe depression for me. It was due to pushing myself too much while going through chemo, but it's possible that it can happen with any major life change (like leaving a job). I wrote about my story of depression http://jensablelopez.com/depression-what-summer-made-of/ - not sure if that helps at all.

But I agree with others, go see a different doctor. Perhaps try a Naturopath. They'll help you without giving you drugs.

jennita··on Today I gave the wrong answer to a customer
I manage the Community team at SEOmoz, and part of the team's job is to do customer service via our social channels. We try to respond quickly whether we have the answer or not, to let them know we're working on it. It does help the community member feel like they're being taken care of quickly and that we're listening to them.
jennita··on Today I gave the wrong answer to a customer
So cool to hear this. We're trying something similar with the entire staff at SEOmoz. Everyone knows the product in different ways and takes turns as part of the "Help" team. It's a new concept but great to hear how others are doing it.
jennita··on Today I gave the wrong answer to a customer
Totally agree. I do think though that right now the Buffer App team is pretty small and slowly growing. Plus when a product is constantly changing or getting upgraded, it can be difficult to know all the answers all the time.

I do feel this post is pretty sincere and I liked the fact that she was honest with her mistake.

jennita··on Things You Think Aren’t Sexist, But Really Are
Dude. Y U SO grumpy?
jennita··on A Tweet's Effect on SEO Rankings - An Unexpected Case Study
Time will tell if it's temporary. The thing is when content gets a lot of retweets, it means it's probably pretty link-worthy. So the tweets could have given it an initial bump, but then traditional backlinks could keep the rankings high.
jennita··on A Tweet's Effect on SEO Rankings - An Unexpected Case Study
So far only a week has passed and we seem to have settled into the #12 spot. But it will be really interesting to see if the ranking sticks around. Sadly with this case study being dropped into our laps we weren't set up to run it as a test and only have "after effect" data to go off of.
