Yes, quite offensive. If not childish. The N word caught me off guard.
jaunkst··on It's Go Time On Linux
Ugh.. time, durations and location is enough to make anyone's head spin. Nice to see how important something so overlooked in many languages is addressed. I haven't personally had the opportunity to play with go but I like what I see.
jaunkst··on Braintree is giving $50k in processing to every startup
Braintree isn't a bad choice, not the best but better than most. Their documentation and needs for more complex stratiges for domain logic is lacking. Stripe has one of the best documentations I've seen as far as payment gateways go and how it can fulfill most business needs. As far as MVP products go I grade each api on documentation and flexibility. 1. Stripe, 2. Braintree, 3. Custom gatwate solutions such as shopifies gem. Im sure there are many more solutions but as a developer without a huge background in payment processing solutions this is my assessment.
jaunkst··on Why we left AngularJS
Exactly, tried to hit that in my post
jaunkst··on Why we left AngularJS
Would also note angular isn't for everyone or every project. But when you do its priceless.
jaunkst··on Why we left AngularJS
I have to disagree with most of this article. 1. Bad search ranking and Twitter/Facebook previews Don't force your public side to strictly angular. Serve normal pages and use angular for your interactive components. Let Google index a well formed dom. Use a full angular stack for your non public facing application(a SaaS application). You don't want to index this anyways.

2. Flaky stats and monitoring Use event driven metrics from your api and or client side. Track everything in the sense of user, controller, action, params. Blacklist sensitive data. Derive metrics with funnels, user did x actions, returned and subscribed. Conversion! It's all there just understand your events.

3. Slow, complex build tools. Your not limited to grunt, or node. For example we use rails and use our own buildscripts and generators to build fullstack angular apps. Easy Breezy.

4. Slow, flaky tests There is room for improvement. But jasmine and phantom can get the job done. But let's not forget were also testing our api. Use your goto testing framework and let jasmine phantomn do the client frontend testing.

5. Slowness is swept under the rug, not addressed Precompile your angular templates, only wait for api responses. Don't fragment your page load into seperate request. Resolve all the requires data beforehand in the route provider.

jaunkst··on Why the Heck is Git so Hard?
Is it really hard? Anybody can use git.
jaunkst··on Microsoft please clean your store of junk
How does anyone know they are hosting illegal software? Seems like Microsoft is doing something worse than a file host or torrent site. They are actually paying the criminal and themselves. Its perfectly sane to bring down entire website/ecosystem when it is found to host a movie or song. Is software IP less important than Justin Bieber new soundtrack? Were are the suits to knock on Microsoft's door when they turn a blind eye to what they are hosting and profiting on.
jaunkst··on Microsoft please clean your store of junk
Do we really want another crappy mobile browser and platform to support? We don't need them in mobile space anyways. I don't see a future in Microsoft mobile devices. They really missed the mark while everyone else is on their 4th lap of the race.
jaunkst··on Reduced Pricing on Azure Storage - Price Matching Amazon Web Services
Being completly biased. I won't use Microsoft services in any way. Even if it was 10x cheaper.
jaunkst··on The spiral of learning
I admire your ability to know the unknowns. Its imperative today do do exactly what you are doing. There is just to much going on that is "worth knowing". Any good CTO would be rounded but not masters of one. The best thing about this is your spread trading your education and the overall achievement being a grander knowledge of shared knowledge. Keep doing what your doing there are no pitfalls in not specializing. BTW cheers and happy new year may your future be fruitful from your unbiased persute of education. :)
jaunkst··on No Moore? A golden rule of microchips appears to be coming to an end
Its on life support, and pivoting to newer technologies. The turning point is towards integrated optical and quantum effects. Even switching from Silicon to Gallium Arsenide. Manufacturing processes are changing and there is no need to create anything smaller than the 10nm.
jaunkst··on YogaGlo Update
less than 20 seconds of youtube searching.

jaunkst··on Diary of a programmer with no clue about marketing
Have you tried using google news api to find articles in your market? You can turk out compiling a authors contact list and prepare a press release package for the few hundred writers to publish. Some will not respond but some my write for established sources or even many. This will help get attention and increase your ranking.
jaunkst··on Shot tower
Why not Hn. It is an elegant solution to a manufacturing problem, im sure many of you ask how it can be done more effectively requiring less space and material.
jaunkst··on Revising MailChimp's logo
I cant help but say that the P, is almost read as a Y, I think the opening of the Y tail, helps suggest that this is a cursive y. The spacing is widened, and places the p further out. Maybe pulling the lower gap between m and p in, reducing the spacing, and keeping the open loop.
