Out of curiosity, where would you have looked for such updates? GitHub issues?
We now have multiple Mattermost server support in the mobile apps in Beta! If you're interested to try it out, here's how you can join the Mattermost Mobile app beta program.
The community feedback on the Beta version has thus far being excellent, and helps us improve the user experience before we ship multi-server support as a stable release to everyone :)

Are you open to sharing more about the challenges you saw with notifications? We're always looking for feedback to improve the product experience.
Are you thinking of Reddit (or HN) style threads?
If you're looking to use Focalboard for multiple users, you can use it in Mattermost where it's integrated as Boards: https://mattermost.com/boards/
Do you have any wishes around Mattermost? We're always looking for ways to improve the product experience.

As part of the revised implementation, the proposal is to add unit testing, so that we can detect it in the future as part of our build process.
Really appreciate your feedback. We had intended to pause the admin advisor notifications couple of months ago but due to an intended bug some of the messages are still coming through. We've queued an update to pause them in the next release (v5.38). [1]
The original vision for the admin advisor notification feature was to guide administrators through proper activation and configuration of the system as the needs of their user base evolves, with some additional capabilities in the Enterprise offering. However, based on the feedback we received, it was evident that the experience felt spammy with limited value which was not the intent, negatively impacting the trust with our community. Hence why we've decided to pause admin advisor notifications at this time.

We offer a non-profit license for open-source projects [0] with special nonprofit pricing. We also plan to move the System Permissions Scheme into the open source Team Edition with the 6.0 release on September 15 [1].
Thanks for being a user, feedback is always welcome!

We'd love to improve, are there one or two things top of mind for us to change? You mentioned occasionally missing notifications?
There is a hosted SaaS version of Mattermost as well. We don't have an established non-profit license for it yet, but you can contact community[at]mattermost.com and we'd be happy to discuss options.
We have seen some users integrate Mattermost into an existing application. I'm not sure if these resources may be helpful? - docs.mattermost.com/integrations/embedding.html - https://forum.mattermost.org/t/recipe-embedding-mattermost-i...
If you have any questions or feedback, would love to hear as well.
@rubyist5eva You can learn more about Focalboard - the open-source alternative to Trello, Asana and Notion - at https://focalboard.com/.
To enable Mattermost, you can add the Mattermost external URL in the config file, and run `sudo gitlab-ctl reconfigure`. I'm wondering if that's something you've tried? https://docs.gitlab.com/omnibus/gitlab-mattermost/#getting-s...
That's only about 3x growth in almost 5 years. Don't get me wrong, this is a massive acquisition, but I still say "only" given the hypergrowth experienced by many adjacent tech companies.
So I think Microsoft may be quite happy they decided not to acquire Slack at such a high tag price nearly 5 years ago.
It will be interesting how this impacts Mattermost [1] though - an open source developer collaboration tool for Enterprises, a closer competitor to Slack.
Agree that someone who "works insanely hard" will advance quicker. However, I disagree that's necessarily the best approach long-term.
When in university, I did something for each of my courses every day. Studied something new, reviewed past materials, solved an assignment. I did it every day. Continuous improvement.
I never had an all-nighter or really crammed for an exam. Yet I got the best marks. It's not because I was an Einstein - it's because I improved on each of the previous 90 days that got me to the required level faster than working insanely hard over a few days.
Continuously improve - do one thing every day. Two if you can. In 90 days, you'll be 90 ways closer to your goal than you were before.
