MSG can really make certain dishes taste delicious, but that doesn't mean you need to dump tablespoons of the stuff into everything you eat. In Japan, many foods contain MSG; just not enough to be your weekly serving's worth.

So what's the point in trying to gauge this? Either you'll find people who accept it or they won't. Seems like you'd be adding further stress to an already stressful situation by agonizing over this.
But did you know that millennials now comprise more than half of the US workforce? And obviously that's set to only increase for the near future.
To be fair, it's increasingly a topic in Europe as well. Or at least in France where I currently live. Sure, it's not as in your face as in the US. But there is increasingly more public discourse on diversity and what equality means/should mean. Point is, I think it's now more a global phenomenon than just the US.
I mean, I can totally understand not wanting to tell people you work with.
But what is the dilemma? Either you tell someone or you don't. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems overdramatic.
Have you tried it yourself? Not doubting, just always have some skepticism of reviews on Amazon haha
But now they sell it like a main product; even today when I went to buy some bread at one of my local shops, they had sacks of flour set up in the storefront and showcases.

However, the Leonardo da Vinci related stuff is surprisingly gaudy. And for some reason the main da Vinci exhibit is sponsored by IBM yet still expensive for admission.
Overall, if you're in the area it's worth checking out. But nothing to go out of your way for.
