ironcurtain··on FDA approves first nonprescription daily oral contraceptive
Good bye, USA. In 20-30 years all those celebrating this decision will be sitting in the assisted living facilities wondering who will be repairing the robots that are taking care of their parents. Demography is destiny.
ironcurtain··on Supreme Court strikes down affirmative action in college admissions
If that’s your summary of knowledge, it’s misleading and lacks nuance. GI Bill did not exclude blacks, it’s educational institutions that chose either accept or decline those funds for black applicants. Still in South there was about a hundred of colleges accepting black paying with GI bills. Majority those lynched was white. You’re propagating victimization narrative. There are historic black colleges that would and should gladly fill in gaps left by historical white institutions like Ivies. Same with neighborhoods. Both have the same problem that none is willing to talk about in polite non-Southern society.

A billionaire with surveillance tech manufacturing, French ex-military spook, and a wealthy Pakistani with British government connections. Possible foul play? Nope, not a chance. Everyone’s taking about a joystick.
ironcurtain··on Baltimore sues Hyundai, Kia over spike in car thefts
The problem is that some people decide to steal cars and face no consequences. What’s the car theft levels in Seoul compared to Baltimore? Should we expect them to be different? Why?

And there are also a lot of fat people due to ease of access to forks and spoons.

What are the level of auto theft in Korea? Or Japan? You are insisting on putting law abiding population into a cage because we cannot deal with criminal few.

Do you have any tangible data to back up the first sentence or is it just a desire to avoid facing hard reality?

ironcurtain··on ‘Putin’s chef’ admits to interfering in U.S. elections
The US needs no external actor to “divide us”, its body politic excels in this task like no other. That’s how the system is built.
ironcurtain··on What “diversity and inclusion” means at Microsoft
That’s not the privilege but the consequence of unfortunate experience with shoplifting and groups more likely to perpetrate it. Crime statistics is hateful and racist, no doubt. But it drives bias which serves as first order simplified decision making
ironcurtain··on Kiwi Farms is down across all domains as DDoS-Guard terminates service
You are projecting a scene from a movie to an unrelated business issue.
ironcurtain··on IMDB deleted all negative user reviews for The Rings of Power
spoilers Not only she’s a warrior but she’s single-handedly killed a snow troll who was thrashing the rest of her male companions. In LOTR it took 8 males to deal with a cave troll. She’s a strong independent woman indeed.

Muslim slavers? That’s double plus ungood.

Guess what, white slaves existed as well. In reality.

Story should make no assumptions about what audience knows, it should be fully contained.

Would you mind explaining how - even in this fantasy world - people living in closed societies would get wildly different features? Somehow elves are different from human who are different from gnomes - it there are 2-3 afro elves or afro-hobbits? That’s what’s jarring about “per quota” insertion of minorities - because it contradicts our experience. One can make southerons look Persian or Indian, but having a token minority is just laughable. And throwing around virtue signaling is not helping your argument.
ironcurtain··on Mikhail Gorbachev has died
Very much like Hawaii and Florida, weren’t they? Weren’t those countries ruled for decade or so by dictators who ceased power in late 20s? Didn’t Soviet actually organized elections and then their parliaments voted to join the USSR? I’m sure it’s all a sham but history is a bit nuanced.
ironcurtain··on What did British officers think of the American civil war as it was happening?
Why do you call it a civil war? In a civil war two parties fight for dominance over the country - England’s and Russian’s civil wars, more than two hundred years apart, are great example. In that war, South did not want to dominate North but secede. It seems calling the conflict “a Civil war” just follows Northern narrative.
ironcurtain··on Russia opens criminal investigation of Meta over death calls on Facebook
Interesting development. As I’m heading to the local 5 minute hate meeting, I want to get current in “Who,Whom” hierarchy. Can anyone help me figure it out? Is it only applying to Russians these days or there are other exceptions? Can all Arabs post “Death to Israel” or only those within 100 miles of Israel borders? Is reverse allowed? Can Yemeni call for death of Saudi Royals or is it still frowned upon? The new rules also allowed praise of Nazi-lite Azov battalions “in the context of defense of Ukraine”. Does it mean that going forward Vaffen-SS can be praised “in context of defense” of 3rd Reich from British and US troops in 1945? So confused.
ironcurtain··on Latvia wants permanent U.S. troops, foreign minister tells Blinken
Kosovo? Iraq? Libya International law? Trying putting all these into a single sentence. Unfortunately in the last 20 years West lost all claims for upholding “international law” or “rules”.

NATO was created to keep US in, Germany down and Russia out. EU army would never work, unless it’s just a job program for underprivileged youths.
ironcurtain··on Russia to legalize software piracy
Where were you for the last 8 years when the war crimes were committed in the East of Ukraine? West didn’t talk about it, CNN wasn’t putting up banner “We are Donbass” but bombing and shelling of the cities was happening nonetheless. Get of your high horse, it doesn’t have legs to stand on.
ironcurtain··on Russians are trying to flee – data from Google Trends
Your people, whether you feel like they are yours is a different question, a fighting and dying. Many believing they do it for their country. You just want easy life for yourself. Nothing is wrong with it, but for the rest of the world you are not just Russian, but coward as well. You’ll be begging for forgiveness and always explaining that you were always against the tyrant to the good white people who think good correct thoughts. Just like those hapless whites cornered by BLM activists. Proper fate.

ironcurtain··on What happened to Russias Air Force? U.S. officials, experts stumped
Considering that there are millions of Russians there and 10-15 millions of Russian-Ukrainians, yes. South and East will not only accept but accept it gladly. West and center is a different story but then the area was always controlled by outside power - western provinces by Austria and Poland, Kiev and its surrounds - by Russian Empire. Give it 10-15 years and absence of rabid nationalistic media and things will change.
ironcurtain··on Twitter based map of Russian troop movements
You mean for Russians in Donbass region, right? There were 13 thousands civilians killed there over 8 years.

Did you actually listen to the speech? There was none of it. He stated that Soviet National republics were created by taking historical Russian territory and giving them to newly formed states. All true.
