Ukraine had two ministers of national security who are openly neo-nazis.

Ukrainian nationalists committed massacres in Odessa: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/02/ukraine-dead-o...

Their national hero: https://www.timesofisrael.com/hundreds-of-ukrainian-national...

"Stepan Bandera led Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which fought alongside Nazi Germany during WWII, killing thousands of Jews and Poles"

  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepan_Bandera#Jews
They sure love to name streets (50 thousand streets reenamed since 2015!) erecting monuments, and march in parades for an actual, documented and proven Nazi collaborator, anti-Semite, and racist who slaughtered thousands upon thousands of Jews, Poles, anyone not Ukranian, in pursuit of "pure" Ukrainian race" (his own words, published in WaPo, of all places).

That's their national hero. Unverified, with only 50,000 monuments and streets named after a literal Nazi.

Obviously only angels live in that country.

inter_netuser··on Bucha Massacre
In a country with 20-40% of ethnic Russians, and ~10% other non-Ukranians (anything from greeks to tatars), I'd say odds are far from zero some of those people are definitely not Ukranian.

You could tell a Russian from a Ukrainian in that video? I can't tell them apart even in person.

Finest national hero in Europe:

There are Stepan Bandera museums in Dubliany, Volia-Zaderevatska, Staryi Uhryniv, and Yahilnytsia. There is a Stepan Bandera Museum of Liberation Struggle in London, part of the OUN Archive,[147] and The Bandera's Family Museum (Музей родини Бандерів) in Stryi.[148][149] There are also Stepan Bandera streets in Lviv (formerly Mury street), Lutsk (formerly Suvorovska street), Rivne (formerly Moskovska street), Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chervonohrad (formerly Nad Buhom street),[150] Berezhany (formerly Cherniakhovskoho street), Drohobych (formerly Sliusarska street), Stryi, Kalush, Kovel, Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Horodenka, Dubrovytsia, Kolomyia, Dolyna, Iziaslav, Skole, Shepetivka, Brovary, and Boryspil, and a Stepan Bandera prospect in Ternopil (part of the former Lenin prospect).[151] On 16 January 2017, the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance stated that of the 51,493 streets, squares and "other facilities" that had been renamed (since 2015) due to decommunization 34 streets were named after Stepan Bandera.[152] Due to "association with the communist totalitarian regime", the Kyiv City Council on 7 July 2016 voted 87 to 10 in favor of supporting renaming Moscow Avenue to Stepan Bandera Avenue.[153][154]

Stepan Bandera monument in Ternopil Monuments dedicated to Stepan Bandera have been constructured in a number of western Ukrainian cities, including a statue in Lviv, as well as Staryi Uhryniv, Kolomyia, Drohobych,[155] Zalishchyky,[156] Mykytyntsi,[157] Uzyn,[158] Buchach,[159] Hrabivka,[160] Horodenka,[161] Staryi Sambir,[162] Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk,[163] Strusiv,[164] Truskavets,[165] Horishniy, Velykosilky, Sambir, Velyki Mosty, Skole,[166] Turka,[167] Zdolbuniv,[168] Chortkiv,[169][170] Sniatyn,[171] and in such cities and villages as Berezhany, Boryslav, Chervonohrad, Dubliany, Kamianka-Buzka, Kremenets, Mostyska, Pidvolochysk, Seredniy Bereziv, Terebovlia, Verbiv, and Volia-Zaderevatska.[citation needed] In 2010 and 2011, Bandera was named an honorary citizen of a number of western Ukrainian cities, including Khust,[172] Nadvirna,[173] Ternopil,[174] Ivano-Frankivsk,[175] Lviv,[176] Kolomyia,[177] Dolyna,[178] Varash,[179] Lutsk,[180] Chervonohrad,[181] Terebovlia,[182] Truskavets,[183] Radekhiv,[184] Sokal,[185] Stebnyk,[186] Zhovkva,[187] Skole,[188] Berezhany,[189] Sambir,[190] Boryslav,[191] Brody,[192] Stryi,[193] and Morshyn.[194]

In late 2018, the Lviv Oblast Council decided to declare the year of 2019 to be the year of Stepan Bandera, sparking protests by Israel.[195] Two feature films have been made about Bandera, among them are Assassination: An October Murder in Munich (1995) and The Undefeated (2000), both directed by Oles Yanchuk, along with a number of documentary films. In 2021, the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory under the authority of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, included Bandera, among other Ukrainian nationalist figures, into Virtual Necropolis, a project intended to commemorate historical figures important for Ukraine.[196]

>Synthetic stocks have arbitrage discounts/premiums that shouldn’t exist.

So somebody is making mad money from arbitraging them?

>Decentralized markets often cause the liquidity provider to lost value from “impermanent loss”

Someone's loss is someone's gain.

>The capital controls thing is a fairy tale. When was the last time someone accepted a ruble in exchange for any major crypto currency? If someone can but BTC with a dollar, why don’t they just evade the control with their dollars?

Please try sending money from China to the outside and report back.

My personal theory on early peaking in physics and math is that the best proxy for intelligence, working memory, begins to measurably decline in your 40s.

It likely begins to decline even prior to that, as our ability to measure it is very rough and imprecise, which seems to align well with ages when physics/math geniuses peak, ~30s.

So lucky, they have the highest suicide rate.

Compared to other OECD countries, South Korea's female suicide rate is highest with 15.0 deaths by suicide per 100,000 deaths according to the suicidal rate list, while the male suicide rate is third highest with 32.5 per every 100,000 deaths.

Nukes don't fly like a plane.

These can be launched into the orbit from any point on Earth, and de-orbited onto the target from literally any direction in the sky.

It's one of the reasons why it's so hard to defend against them.

inter_netuser··on Putin says Western sanctions are akin to declaration of war
So Donbass was all good and wholesome Ukranianian nationalists before war, is what you are saying?
inter_netuser··on Putin says Western sanctions are akin to declaration of war
so what you are saying is, your government officially agrees with russia about humanitarian corridors, but then tells your own citizens not to follow them?

Do you have a picture of the notice? How do you know it's your government?

inter_netuser··on Putin says Western sanctions are akin to declaration of war
How is the Ukranian Donbass situation any different from Kosovo/NATO bombings of entire Serbia?

Where was everyone during the last 8 years during the Donbass war where Ukraine deployed battalions composed of neo-nazis against unarmed civilians?

Further unapproved thoughts from approved sources:

1. US ambassador decided who they'll pick for the puppet during the 2014 coup, right on this call: https://youtu.be/WV9J6sxCs5k

2. Ukraine is the only country with an official neo-Nazi battalion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azov_Battalion

3. Ukraine parliament speaker was an open anti-semite and neo-nazi, and also served as minister of national security(!): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andriy_Parubiy https://www.channel4.com/news/svoboda-ministers-ukraine-new-...

4. Ukraine commits assaults and arson against their rather sizable ethnic minorities, again, using their neo-nazi groups: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/02/ukraine-dead-o...

5. Ukraine has neo-nazis at every level of their government: https://youtu.be/KfaAyiP8Wuc

6. Ukrainians killing civilians for 8 years using the same neo-nazi battalions mentioned above: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Donbas

Just as Ukraine refused humanitarian corridors during the last 8 years in Donbass, they are refusing them now to their own civilians to exit cities under siege.

It's amazing how people think Ukraine is this shining beacon of freedom and Russia is this evil orc empire, when in fact, they both have the same transparency score, aka just as corrupt.

Now tell me, how is recognizing independence of a province populated by a persecuted ethnic group, and then marshalling troops to protect it any different from NATO vs Kosovo?

The minority is Russian, so I guess it's a safe pre-approved behaviour to hate them and ignore their persecution by literally self-admitted neo-nazis.

Go ahead and support Nazis openly.

Germany has built out so much renewables, that France now has to build more nuke powerplants to support Germany's erratic grid.

Germany should start building nuclear themselves, instead of bailing out the French nuclear industry. $100bn can build a lot of nuclear powerplants.

inter_netuser··on Ukraine launches site to help families of captured and killed Russian soldiers
is the Azov Regiment actual nazis, or they just managed to select the same ensigns and flags as an actual SS unit by pure accident?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azov_Battalion#Neo-Nazism

"British political scientist Richard Sakwa writes that Azov's founding member Andryi Biletsky, leader of the neo-Nazi Social-National Assembly (SNA) made statements about a "historic mission" to lead the "white races of the world in a final crusade for their survival ... a crusade against the Semite-led Untermenschen", an ideology he traces to the National Integralism of 1920s and 1930s"

It's just another psyop.

The only information you are getting from either side right now is just psyops and disinformation. As expected, it is an actual war, after all.

Russia claimed they had zero losses after the first day. then Ukraine comes out and claims they killed 2000 russian soldiers on the very first day, with like 100 tanks and 500 APCs. All in one day, lol.

All sorts of other wild claims from both sides, and I'd expect this one is too.

One of them is now claimed to be fake by the other side. Alikhan Dasaev is supposedly a long time resident of Kiev and a Ukrainian citizen of 20 years. Allegedly, the video was made soon after Chechens allegedly dispatched 10,000 spec op troops to Ukraine in order to storm Kiev. Chechens are renowned to be fearless fighters, but what an incredibly overstated number, why not one billion gazillion of navy seals?

Handing out guns doesn't quite work.

Czechs have a 500 year old gun culture, and were quite well armed. It is a shall-issue country, and every gun permit is automatically a concealed carry permit. Today, close to 20-25% of the country own guns, probably more undeclared owners.

Nevertheless, it got occupied by Germany and by Russia on two separate occasions, and at some point "elected" Hapsburgs.

The days of "God made Men. Smith&Wesson made them equal" are long past, and we are now well into the age of neo-feudalism.

Choose your suzerain carefully.

Prevalence is actually fairly high.

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.6610...

"The prevalence of psychopathy in the general adult population can be estimated at 4.5%." Remember: it's much more frequent in males, where that number can be 2-3x of that, can be close to 1 in 10 in males.

"prevalence of psychopathy among university students is significantly higher than among people from the general community". I'd guess increased affluence and better childrearing will result in more university students as well.

I'd go as far as to say that "boundless affluence" and "perfect childrearing" may in fact produce even more psychopaths, not less, as it is not quite a pathology many assume. Many traits are actually more adaptive vs general population.

It's probably important to point that there is further nuance. in primary(as in born that way) psychopathy the hallmark is total absence of anxiety and remorse. In secondary (upbringing, trauma, etc) psychopathy, anxiety can often be fairly high.

You might reduce some secondary cases of psychopathy with your proposed measures, but boundless affluence will also result in higher SSRI usage to prevent unwanted anxiety or stress (the rich tend to use antidepressants more, don't have the reference handy now, but its fairly obvious the rich have fewer problems with access to mental health services), and SSRIs tend to increase some psychopathic traits (charm+boldness), which perhaps can push some borderline cases into the proper psychopathic territory: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3202964
