A 0 config 0 feature simplified version in Ruby https://gist.github.com/3832504
This of course breaks homebrew installs (I found the issue when trying to run an application that uses image magick).
Anyone else having this issue?
Keep up the great work guys!
I use the Chrome and Safari 1Password extensions for 1-click logins, and it's a setup I'm extremely happy with. On the few occasions I've needed to access an account without access to my 1Password, I've reset my password via my personal email address and changed the password when I next have access to 1Password. I'm not going to pretend password managers solve all problems, but they certainly help.
I can't really give any impressions on the app without these things working, but viewing photos and photo comments feels nice and responsive.

They're said the DMCA was a mistake and they hold their hands up to that. Aside from that, I can't see how they've done anything wrong. OK so asking the author to remove it from 3rd party sites is a bit cheeky, but that's all they did.. ask. I would have asked too, the author didn't have to. He clearly didn't want any trouble.
Imo Dropbox should have just fixed then, and sat there and laughed when people tried to use Dropship and it not work. It would have saved 'Dropbox attempts to kill open source project' and may have even caused for 'Dropbox fixes file hashing issue x days after open source project built to exploit it'. That way, both win. But that's just my 2 cents
Also, Pry is currently weighing in at less than 2 thousand lines. It's not going the way IRB is going, but it is indeed very feature full, and probably will contain stuff you may not use every day. It's also easy to extend, so moving commands out of core and abstracting them into their own external libraries would be simple, would we ever want/need to slim the library.
People should know Pry is relatively new. We're actively writing code daily to improve it. We have some pretty awesome items on the TODO list, so keep an eye on it!
To answer an FAQ: There's no reason not to replace IRB with Pry, or at least extend IRB with Pry inside of your ~/.irbrc
I probably didn't ask as much as I should/could have, I possibly asked 5-10% of employers, and when I had either no response or a negative 'you didnt suit our needs', I guess I just gave up. I think it's extremely dependent of the company, and surprisingly the person you're dealing with directly inside the company.
I guess there are those kind of people who feel discriminated against what might only be some helpful feedback, it's a shame, because it's one of the most educational means of response I've come across, in my experience.
Thanks for your response
With that being said, Mr Winter deserved a human voice at the very least. A discussion, not a computer generated decision. Perhaps the adsense account for the personal website should have been ceased, but doing so for the youtube one too, is petty. Of course (assuming) a computer can't tell the difference between these outlets a human voice would have helped in this matter.
After reading some of the comments, I really think pulling down the youtube videos and throwing up 30 second 'previews', with a link to the full version on Vimeo, is a great idea. There's no doubt it will generate less income, but you'll get your cut.
Seriously, Google?
