Making to-do lists better.
Two questions:
1. What stack are you working on?
2. How does the "instant" search thing work?
And this article doesn't qualify for "Show HN". As far as I've observed, Show HN applies for stuff OP has built or a service/tool you've discovered.
That being said, this is an entertaining set of videos, some of which made me smile.
EDIT — Worked like a charm. Thanks much!
OS X Mountain Lion (Mavericks won't install for some weird reason)
Python, HTML, CSS, JS, C
Sublime Text 2
Both mine as well as the other one is open source, but I don't know how to go about a merger.
The issue here is that my product is definitely better designed, and can match (perhaps even slightly bypass) the technical capabilities of the rival product!
But It'd be safe to say the following — The "rival" has established a (4-5k people) community around the product, and my better designed version aims to build a larger community of users. I'm not going to be charging, and neither is he.
Nothing so intriguing about it, really.
Edit: Also, the sign up page itself has a confusing user interface.
Damn, if I had your email, I'd send you a personal letter of appreciation. This is just that good.
Answering your question — it differs from person to person. I personally wouldn't be interested in receiving a new router, for example, but I do know people who would. I'd like a typewriter more, to be honest. But that's just me.
Lastly, a good gift is one that comes with sincerity. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as its sender sends along warm wishes and sincere affection.
A better option would be to prompt the user to enter their passcode before turning the phone off, if at all the user has set a passcode.
When I said "No." I meant it's ethically wrong to kill cyclists, and not "O.K". I was merely answering the question posed in the title. I agree my use of "TL;DR" probably made sure everybody took this the wrong way, and was technically out of place, too.
