imakwana··on Ask HN: Any ideas on how to invest money in the US from a latin american country
I highly recommend to you to post your question on the Bogleheads forum [1], specifically within its "Non-US Investors" category/sub-forum. There is a lot of expertise in that forum regarding international investing in general & focus on maintaining a simple, efficient index based portfolio with low costs. You may also find their wiki [2] page on Non-US investing useful.

imakwana··on Ask HN: How do you personally learn?
I struggle a lot with learning due to ADHD but I found below heuristics/techniques helpful in overcoming barriers to learning: 1) OKR : Objectives and Key Results - especially hierarchical deconstruction of OKR [1] 2) OODA : Observe-orient-decide-act loop (similar to REPL in Lisp) [2] 3) DSSS : Deconstruction, Selection, Sequencing, Stakes - an accelerated learning technique promoted by Tim Ferris' Four-hour Chef book [3] 4) Outlining and Concept Mapping with Workflowy or Org-mode 5) 4DX : Four disciplines of Execution as described in the book Deep Work by Cal Newport

imakwana··on HN: How did you learn finance?
In my case, I stumbled upon an HN thread on index funds [1] and discovered Bogleheads Wiki page which was an insightful introduction to philosophy of personal finance. Eventually discovered Mr. Money Moustache as well which emphasizes more on behavioural aspects to maximize savings and accelerating financial independence. For me, Bogleheads reading list [4] has been an excellent source for improving personal finance knowledge.
