ilteris··on Apple introduces M6 and M5 Ultra
Could you please tell me what kind of machine you are using to operate it?
ilteris··on New Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra
Apple screen sharing works for me just fine. Matter of fact I have been driving a mac mini with it from my laptop most of the time now and just ordered a mac studio to replace the mac mini. I think powerful headless desktops are the future.
ilteris··on A particle made of force: physicists say they've found mysterious 'glueball'
You can use Gemini notebook notebooklm for this
ilteris··on If Meta loses this trial, Instagram and Facebook could change forever
The big tech should not be allowed to exploit consumers and especially young children. They are the modern day tobacco companies but worse they are exploiting young people even more aggressively than tobacco companies did back in the day. They should be regulated and their power should be taken away.

Nice setup. Which home assistant do you use? I would love to bring alexa like capability to my setup.
ilteris··on Men That Don't Fit In (1911)
It sounds like he had ADHD. Some people (and I'm using that term to include all genders here) cannot handle discomfort, and my speculation is that this is caused by chemicals in the brain.
ilteris··on Local, CPU-Friendly, High-Quality TTS (Text-to-Speech) with Kokoro
I didn't since feed address was already mentioned in the blog post. Here you go. The first one is edge-tts and the second one is kokoro. you'd be the judge :) https://ilteris.github.io/hermes-audio-feed/episodes/2026-07... https://ilteris.github.io/hermes-audio-feed/episodes/2026-07...
ilteris··on Local, CPU-Friendly, High-Quality TTS (Text-to-Speech) with Kokoro
I built a pipeline through hermes using edge-tts to automate and listen to links that I provide to it just this morning, google notebooklm style. I replaced the TTS model with Kokoro after seeing this post, thank you. Here's the pipeline if anyone is interested. https://www.klaweht.com/2026-07-07-link-to-podcast-rss-pipel... By the way, it took hermes just around 10-15 minutes to build first iteration. I am impressed.

ilteris··on U.S. allows Anthropic to release Mythos AI to ‘trusted’ US organizations
You are not wrong but I would also consider that it's relative easier to sentence someone who is nobody than someone famous in that regard.
ilteris··on CEOs who think AI replaces their employees are just bad CEOs
Amen. Or I should say RIP.
ilteris··on Alphabet announces $80B equity capital raise to expand AI infra and compute
Sorry I am not buying into that. In your logic they should issue more debt. Their operating margin is lowest compared to Microsoft and meta. If oil goes to 200 tomorrow their profit margin will be squeezed most along with meta. (Ads) Backlog in cloud does not mean shit imo. They can slow roll it. Matter of fact half of that backlog seems backed by anthropic anyway. So imagine anthropic not making money because of a down turn and going down. Who will pay the backlog? This is exactly why they are diluting their stock instead of issuing more debt, they don't want to put all their eggs in one basket and want to retain capital for such downturn. That's how I read it.
ilteris··on Alphabet announces $80B equity capital raise to expand AI infra and compute
They already have shitloads corp debt. They don't want to over leverage.
ilteris··on Alphabet announces $80B equity capital raise to expand AI infra and compute
Capital is cheap how? Are you saying they think capital would get more expensive?

Do you have any documents how this could be achieved? Thanks
ilteris··on Show HN: FleetCode – Open-source UI for running multiple coding agents
Is this based on a single provider? Could you explain how it differentiates itself from competing solutions? Perhaps an end-to-end workflow walkthrough or a short video would be helpful to understand the process before attempting to implement it. Thank you for open-sourcing the code.

I am an ATT user and on a pixel which generally good at filtering spam messages. I have noticed I was getting so much spam messages recently ("wanna make money working remotely for x hours a day only") I was surprised and thought my number somehow made it to one of those spam networks. This confirms my suspicions.

ilteris··on The unreasonable effectiveness of i3, or: ten years of a boring desktop env
Very much this. I really want Linux to prevail but Apple is just too hard to beat at this point with so I just cave in. Don't get me wrong, I use Linux on a X1 Carbon Lenovo and I love it, I think it's the only OS I feel fast and have total control and but unfortunately Apple hardware and software has come a long way because of its totalitarian regime and it shows. It just works.
