illiac_1962··on Developer on Call
Spot on. I ended up with a new boss at a new company through an acquisition. He gently asked about me getting on the on-call rotation. Which meant work 24/7 because the company didn't know how to manage technology. I enthusiastically agreed and gave him a big spiel about how this is expected, yada, I'm a team player, yada. I fucking parachuted immediately and gave one day notice.

Same thing here. Except I also refuse any refined flour, Co sidering it sugar. I only eat whole foods, no milk, very little cheese, barely any meat. Lots of vegetarian meals. Dropped 50+ lbs without much drama. I cycle extensively in the warm summer months.
illiac_1962··on GoDaddy to suspend domain name Gab.com tomorrow
Suspending domain name registration is truly disturbing. I'm literally speechless and I feel like a line has been crossed. This is domain registration, an abstract service that routes requests based on a name. How did the policing of speech get to this level? I don't have words for the things I'm feeling right now. The actions of a mentally ill person has triggered full on censorship. This is entire situation is fucked up beyond words. We just need to man up and legally ban hate speech instead of beating around the bush and before we start quietly, effectively banning other forms of speech.

Bread products? Amount of added sugar per day?
illiac_1962··on Copyright Office Ruling Imposes Sweeping Right to Repair Reforms
Oh let us bow down and give thanks for being "allowed" to fix shit we own. What. The. Serious. Fuck. The fact that someone has the power to restrict this and or grant us the right makes me absolutely sick. The fact that there has to be a hearing means the forces of evil have won.

Post your entire diet. Then we can talk.
illiac_1962··on Green tea supplements ruined my liver
Yep. If you research green tea throughly this comes up as a major concern leading one to learn that it is very difficult to obtain any green tea that is free of toxins. Supposedly one of the best was regular Lipton tea bags.
illiac_1962··on Green tea supplements ruined my liver
You are ignoring the most comprehensive studies. Population analysis. There are populations that drink green tea regularly as a matter of tradition. Thats how this shit was discovered in the first place.
illiac_1962··on Green tea supplements ruined my liver
Yeah...the second I saw his Pic I knew this guy was a mess. At that age with a history of American diet he had to be primed with serious health issues. Can't excersize that away.
illiac_1962··on Green tea supplements ruined my liver
Yes, because it is very costly and difficult to get high amounts of the active ingredient that people are desperately seeking for their magical weight loss pill. People are dropping stupid amounts of green tea pills every day.

I chased all this shit until I got sick of it and adopted a whole foods plant based diet. No more added sugar or refined, processed crap. Weight dropped like crazy and I walk around literally euphoric compared to before. Same for my wife. No counting calories, no fad diets, no insane excersize schedule, no supplements other than iodide (seaweed), L-Glutamine, and top grade certified fish oil with vitamin D. Those are universally accepted supplements recognized and used widely in the medical community and are not nesseaary accept it is very expensive and time consuming to acquire and eat the amount of food required to get optimal levels.

Not only that, this guy obviously has serious genetic issues. He is sickly.

The proven use is green tea... Not concentrated catechin powder. Good luck getting your hands on that without ingesting heavy metals or other toxins. All of this comes up when researching green tea.

That is nothing to smile about.

The twelve truths of systems development it seems. All of this applies to software.

That data is not regulated. Basically an open book. Try again.
illiac_1962··on Amazon Pitches Facial Recognition to Monitor Immigrants
Data is truth, it wants to be free. It will be free. It is impossible to control. I have tons of confidential data under my control and I can do what I like with it. At a company/government with controls that are nothing less than stellar in comparison to most.

There won't be any historians if you are right.
illiac_1962··on Amazon Pitches Facial Recognition to Monitor Immigrants
You have every right to meddle in American affairs. This is the country of all people of the world. All people who value freedom and individual dignity. Decent Americans welcome everyone and want to help everyone because they realize it helps themselves to do so. It does no good for regular people to buy into these notions of separation. That notion is a tool for maintaining power. The underbelly of the world are the only ones who care about power for themselves. It's a disease.
illiac_1962··on Amazon Pitches Facial Recognition to Monitor Immigrants
Yeah. Completely fuck this trend in totalitarian thinking. It seems like all these big tech executives are precumming at the thought of joining hands with China to bring on the brave new world. I have a feeling things are not going to go down the way anyone thinks they will.
illiac_1962··on Amazon Pitches Facial Recognition to Monitor Immigrants
Yeah. The most perilous stretch I have on my bike is through a neighborhood of million dollar homes with asshole clueless Porsche SUV drivers buzzing around.

Sounds like the upper management circle in Facebook is running off aquired executives, not nesseaarily zuck. Kind of hints at a toxic culture.
illiac_1962··on UBeam CEO Meredith Perry steps aside amidst B2B pivot
Wow, so she generated a shitload of charged air and used a child's science experiment to woo some VCs? I think I'm in love. I cannot stop laughing. She could get rich many times over pulling this trick.
illiac_1962··on UBeam CEO Meredith Perry steps aside amidst B2B pivot
Wall Street Journal has a series in CIO Journal about how to talk the board. It hinged on not presenting data but instead creating and appealing to feelings. This is probably good advice for pitching VCs.
