They actually did start to integrate them. Google Reader had native sharing functionality for several years. Then in 2011 they suddenly removed it and replaced[1] it with sharing through Google+. My small network of Reader-using friends were split over wanting to join Google+, so that mostly killed our practice of regularly sharing links with each other.

A good return policy is insufficient. Amazon is very good about accepting returns. Amazon also co-mingles their own inventory with that of their marketplace sellers. In the past, I have ordered items from Amazon, being careful to choose "Shipped and Sold by Amazon", and have received items that are obviously provided by a marketplace seller. It's great that I was able to contact Amazon and have them issue me a refund. They didn't even want me to bother shipping the item back. But that process still incurred a cost to me, namely:
* extra time not having the item I wanted and could trust
* time and effort to acquire a replacement item from a different retailer
* physical waste, since I discarded the item I received from Amazon because I couldn't trust it
* frustration
Personally, I think the better answer is a system that doesn't put this (minor but non-zero) cost, and its alternative of accepting an inferior and/or less trusted item, onto many, many consumers.
EDIT: formatting
Not only do they not automatically rotate them, there's no functionality to manually rotate them either. The only thing you can do is delete the configuration for your domain entirely and recreate it, which of course nukes your Event log. Hopefully they are working to address this...
The only annoyance is having to manually extract it out of the downloaded archive when I want to update it. But IIRC, this takes two commands, not including the commands to swap the new app bundle with the old.
The downloaded archive is compressed with xar, and I believe that one should be extracted into an empty directory because otherwise it will spray files everywhere. Then the app bundle is in a gzipped cpio file...I think it's at Contents/Payload.
We are not a direct customer, however, so I don't have a support contact to whom I can reach out.
There is a `w` command. It's kind of like a mix of `who` and `uptime`.
If keyboard shortcuts are enabled, '!' is mapped to "Report as spam". I don't recall whether the status popover that appears at the bottom of the UI has an "Undo" link, though...

Note that, when run for the first time, it will request permission to talk to a couple system services. You can remove that stuff pretty easily though. You can also launch a shell script from Automator, which would have been easier but then I would not have had a chance to play with Applescript...
