I only use Firefox over Chrome because it has adblock. So where does the $150 million comes from if people won't use it without adblock? Seems comrade didn't think this through...
I don't understand this kind of reasoning. You don't think that the 100s of PhDs that worked on this would have accounted for the riskiness of adding a live chickenpox virus vs not adding it? People need to start trusting experts more and do less of "common sense" over-thinking imo.
these companies are breaking the social contract. the society allows them and tolerates them making billions in profit as long as it's shared with the public in the form of good jobs. if you remove the latter part from the equation what's the point of these companies anymore? people are not gonna put up with this and something is gonna give sooner or later.
I skimmed the article looking for a lifespan plot. Didn't see one. Instead it is replaced by a "proprietary multidimensional primate aging clock measurement". Take it as you will...

i wouldn't draw broad conclusions on this based on one study. especially since it's going against what many people self-report. studies are often flawed.
let me get this straight ~ someone took the time to prepare for the interview and you basically penalized them for the preparation? people are truly ridiculous
do you really believe that the middle class sending their kids to a nice school is more detrimental to society than wage stagnation for the past 50 years?
war is won by outproducing your enemy. EU and USA could easily outproduce ruzzia if there was political will for it. backing down from putin is a bad move
the purpose of the function should be clear from its name. if its too complex to convey this information it should have a docstring that clearly explains what it does. it's not rocket science
I don't understand this sentiment. You have no problem spending $800 billion in tax payer money on military in a country that hasn't fought a defensive war in 200 years but as soon as the same concept is applied to education or healthcare it's somehow wrong?
