idclip··on St. Benedict’s Rule for Monasteries (516)
Yes they do
idclip··on St. Benedict’s Rule for Monasteries (516)
I have read the three monothiestic religions and have a practicing budhist for 3. Thousands of hours of silence now. As the buddha states, we must all each do the work, not adhere to scripture - the work is simple yet hard - i suggest you try vipassana or any type of extended silence retreats (muslim, christian ... it doesnt matter. I spoke wirh christisn and muslims who were on intensive prayer retreats, they reported the same experience)

seek truth within yourself brother - if you chase interpretation and opinion, you will spiral down. The truth itself is within you, in your flesh, inside your mind is an undying light surrounded by your traumas/impurities. Don't try to assume .. simply discover - the mind wishes to argue its way around truth and console itself with what it thinks is intellectual, but its just a battery of randomness.

Call it what we may, jhanna, yana, grace .. the understanding is truth itself - i wont and cant convince you, its work left for you.

I for one, do not see separation a anymore

Strong dhamma - thank you. I frequent budhist monasteries myself - i see how all prophets are indeed one, and how budha, christ and allah and all other gods stem from that one thing which we encounter after long meditations and prayer finally takes away our anger and hurt to open that door which cannot be closed.

I have a grievance always with “it” for making it so hard for the most of us to access. But i practice.

I wish you all find the power to forgive your enemies, and discover the hidden ones within us all.

idclip··on What Silicon Valley gets about engineers that traditional companies do not
My past work is Very much this.

Edit: details. Our devops allies itself with management and kept “business secrets” from developers. It was abbhorant to witness. I eventually introduced functionality into the devops tools and openned it to developers and got bullied (2nd edit: by my own team and management, i was soft bullied: silence treatments, secret meetings without me, lies, etc. i was junior. My own confession: i did the work without discussing it with the team after being told “fuck the devs” by a senior.) to quit.

What a sad yet accurate homage to being human.
idclip··on User (me) breaksdown the scientific method
I was asked to share my comment. I hope this finds audience. (Reply in body and link)

Answering user Rentiki:

Its called a case study - it usually the first step to multi-person large breadth studies.

Its a “we encountered X anomaly, which is very i interesting and hopeful, and we arent taking money to get lambos. Plz give funding”

Just the scientific method,

Case 0 (we are effed, ppl die. God will be done)

Case 1 (ooooh) - case study

Case E(mperical, study funding yay - larger chunk of department funding allotted) Case E+1 Peer review, fellow/sister studies adding proof. Sometimes skipped for major which bring experience or reputation, often natural sciences due the existence of logical verification methods.

* For social sciences, we have tests such as ANOVA, Eta^2 and Omega^2 (McDonald’s reliability) - there is an absence of logical verifications here due to systemic constraints, ie: its impossible to do studies with (Inf) participants.

Case E+1 -> N+1 (proof or generialized applicability, or enough confidence to yolo a vaccine or medicine or new tech onto the population)

Edited: actually E comes before N and N+1 by expanding the case study to studies with control groups and more participants.

Steal it please, what do you think about my modification?

I have MS (brain damage, makes me forgetful and erratic/eccentric) and suck at self promotion. I wouldnt know where to start.

In my editing bonanza, i cut an important step:

Case N(umerical hypothesis, doctoral work and more funding for the PhD: hypothesis getting formulated in more rigorous ways, maybe finding roots and improving on older methods, comparing with older methods, or disproving older methods)

I cant seem to edit the comment anymore, i will come back to it later today and see! For now, i posted it as a new submission and hope it finds audience

Saw a documentary about israeli soldiers living in army asbestus housing. It was mortifying to reslize how backwords we still are.

Ironic isnt it
idclip··on What Is Life? (2019)
I meditate like harari too, vipassana multiple times a year.. i wouldnt say its exactly trying, its surviving as it moves through time as matter, to end by transforming all its information into the medium, and begin again. - Its quiet astonishing to be this. Quite lonely to see our struggles as that, there is a senselessness to it, until irs greater sentience reveals itself .. then its terrifying, and that matures into surrender, which is peace. Moving from „it is this“ to „i am this“

idclip··on Fractal Architectures: A Software Craftsman's take to Infrastructure as Code
I would skip:

   1. introducing IaC,
   2. and the OOP/functiobal bits
This stuff really just repeats itself everywhere.

I would: directly put my method in an RFC style

   1. „this is what this is (jpg here, maybe two comparison graphics. Of old arch, and yours),
   2. and here how it works.
I did find the pet/catle metaphor great. im not against prose.

An an absolute monster!

Edit: non native speaker. I meant to say „what an absolute unit!“ to praise his skill. Be gentle to the ignorant please.

Im sorry, but this was alot of fluff to read. Good visuals, though, i see what you mean.

DevSecOps might be interesting. Looking forward.

Im an ops guy.

Edit: we need management to understand this.

True. Web “Advertising” is a poison that is shredding society apart.

idclip··on Am I Disabled?
I actually admitted this to myself lately.

Hits hard. But its time to take a break, and heal.

Being human is so raw. Disease is such a dual edged sword. So many feelings i think i would never have had.

idclip··on Some doctors, therapists get Health Canada permission to use magic mushrooms
Not clinical, but meditative:

I use mushrooms sometimes (rarely, very carefully) while meditating.

They tend to stimulate the area around the vagus nerve - and since meditation is partly frustration, that in turn triggers “uncomfortable” memories.

Also, they seem to smoothen nervous activity? Meditating with closed eyes, often the “black net if colored dots” i see when im sober gets a new more fluid attribute, less choppy.

More often than not, intense crying ensues, and quite a bit of unconscious material surfaces and get confronted.

One drawback to “scoring mushrooms” for emotional healing is quality is inconsistent -

I imagine consistent quality and able hands could greatly help traumatized individuals .. its not a trip in the hedonistic sense, its quite frankly aching to a religious experience

I find it interesting that you argued for hiding this kind of information, while not knowing what was stolen.

Yes, your argument is trivially true, how does it help us move forward?
