Someone was definitely playing/reading too much into Metal Gear Solid.

> Everybody does it, but I still think that businesses fundraising for political activity should basically be regarded as corruption.

Right. So perhaps Mike Bloomberg is corrupt then. Oh dear.

Supporting evidence: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/sep/13/mike-bloombe...

You can also see how using 'guilt by association' here makes no sense with Oracle if we keep thinking that 'Bloomberg LP is supporting Biden.'

Would it be fair to say 'Twitter and Facebook are associated with the Democrats given the censorship and bias against right-leaning accounts?' It wouldn't.

This is how silly this guilt by association fallacy is when you associate one's views with the entire views of the company because the chairman is a 'Trump supporter'.

Now you have another so called 'report' directly contradicting the entire matter of selling to Oracle. [0] An official statement only confirms or denies these 'reports'.

We only know of Microsoft's official statement and not Oracle's or Bytedance's so spreading such 'rumours' or so called 'direct sources' tells us that we should wait for official statements rather than jumping into ultimate conclusions.

iamnotarobotman··on Trump, TikTok and Oracle: Probably just a coincidence
Here we go again with the guilt by association fallacies with Twitter users. They sound more like conspiracy theorists and commenting on 'unofficial' or 'reports says' articles without any links to actual press releases and end up jumping to wild conclusions and associations.

Another so called report refutes the widespread 'reports' of Bytedance selling TikTok US to Oracle [0]. We only know of Microsoft's official word on this [1]. But not an official word from either Oracle or Bytedance refuting or confirming either article.

Unconfirmed reports and unofficial nonsense always spreads faster on social media than anywhere else. Come back when it is 'actually' straight from the horses mouth.

I guess eww is for those who are infatuated by their editors, rather than getting things done with it, when the rest of the world just uses Chrome.

iamnotarobotman··on Apple, Google ban location tracking in apps using their contact-tracing system

  P A L A N T I R.
I would treat this app as advanced kleptographic malware after knowing that they're developing this app with the NHS to contact trace millions of people to 'stop the spread' on a centralised server.
