What happened to @apply for css mixins?

https://caniuse.com/?search=%40apply Article says it’s dead and replaced with something completely different that makes no sense.

Seems there is no champion anymore pushing it forward: https://discourse.wicg.io/t/needed-new-champion-for-css-appl...

Thanks :)
hit8run··on Show HN: Sunnybox – An Email API for Effortless IMAP Integration
Thanks for pointing this out. I wasn't aware of Linear.app before, but having checked their site now, I can definitely see the resemblance, particularly with their app icon style. It was completely unintentional. Designing a unique and recognizable logo in today's crowded digital landscape can be challenging, but it's crucial. I'll look into this and consider a redesign to ensure Sunnybox's identity is distinct and unique. Appreciate your observation!

Thanks for your insights! It's great to see others, like emailengine, navigating similar paths in the email integration space. Your product is impressive and was indeed an inspiration in some aspects.

I agree, the landscape, especially considering compliance and security (as highlighted by Nylas), is complex. With Sunnybox, my aim is to offer a simpler yet secure alternative, focusing on ease of use and essential features, which I believe there's a niche for.

I'm navigating these challenges with a 'learn and adapt as I go' approach, aiming to keep things as streamlined as possible while ensuring compliance and security.

It's definitely an interesting journey, and I'm curious to see how it unfolds too. Appreciate the good luck wishes, and I extend the same to you!

Thank you for raising this important concern. I completely understand the apprehensions regarding inbox content and privacy. In Sunnybox, ensuring the security and confidentiality of user data is my top priority.

To safeguard your information, I've implemented several security measures. For instance, API keys are handled with extreme care, akin to passwords, and are shown only once. The only data stored and encrypted in the database are the necessary credentials – your emails are not synced to our database. This 'minimal data necessary' approach extends to handling log files, which are regularly filtered and cleared.

My goal is to offer a service that's not just efficient, but also highly secure and trustworthy. GDPR compliance is a must as Screen Island GmbH is located in Germany as are the Sunnybox servers.

I'm further continually working on enhancing Sunnybox's security features and am always open to feedback or specific concerns. Ensuring peace of mind in this category is paramount for me.

Additionally, for those seeking extra control, there's the option to deploy Sunnybox on your own hardware, giving you complete management over your data.

Thanks for the feedback and the pun! :D I can see the resemblance you're mentioning. It wasn't intentional, but I suppose great minds in design think alike! The focus for Sunnybox's logo was to convey simplicity and efficiency, much like our service. In the inside the sun and around it the box. Appreciate your thoughts!

Detailed insider information! One detail missing: you forgot fax support.
hit8run··on Phoenix 1.7 for Elixir: Edit a Form in a Modal
Elixir and Phoenix are interesting technologies. I have a good friend that changed from Rails to Phoenix and is very happy with it. I stayed in the Rails ecosystem and am quite happy too and added Go to my toolbelt when I need something with more concurrency. How is the Elixir ecosystem nowadays? Anyone that is active in both ecosystems (Elixir, Ruby) can compare?
hit8run··on Ruby's hash is a Swiss-army knife
Let’s make it a one liner :D

fib = Hash.new {|hash, key| hash[key] = key < 2 ? key : hash[key-1] + hash[key-2] }

Example: fib[123] # => 22698374052006863956975682

Makes use of memoization.

It doesn't need a commit. It just works.
hit8run··on Tachyons – A CSS Toolkit
The version 5 branch is fully ongoing. I talked to Adam and it’s already in beta. You can check out the branch on GitHub.

A few minor things still to iron out but it’s the way to go. I also maintain a version with darkmode support based on v1 :)

Feature wise it has grid, css variables and a full color palette.

Looks interesting and polished. 30 per month is too much compared to 10 per month for a tool like sketch.
