hhsbz··on There is no such thing as a “glibc based alpine image”
I think it's clear from the website that this is based on Alpine and not part of the project https://hub.docker.com/r/frolvlad/alpine-glibc/

Without context, I think what this guy is pissed off about is that this project enables people to use alpine to run proprietary software.

If it's alpine with glibc I don't see what's wrong with calling it that
hhsbz··on Discord has won over gamers. Now it wants everybody else
https://i.imgur.com/dy13lcm.png

The entire app was full of crap like this - it's not funny or quirky, it's practically baby talk.

hhsbz··on Discord has won over gamers. Now it wants everybody else
I use discord only for gaming but the entire app was full of text strings that made me cringe. I'm glad they have got rid of them.
hhsbz··on Comparing SARS-CoV-2 natural immunity to vaccine-induced immunity [pdf]
When I saw this was the first comment I knew the study showed natural immunity to be better than vaccine induced immunity without even clicking :P
hhsbz··on Fuctose Changes Cells, Contributes to Obesity
Has someone read the paper? I wonder if the effect disappears over time. This is, if the villi go back to having the length they had if they stop feeding the mice fructose.
hhsbz··on OnlyFans drops planned porn ban
This is never going to blow over. It is as if YouTube had a plan to disable video uploads.

They don't based on what, UN polls?
hhsbz··on The most underused browser feature: reader mode
I never use it because I know the process is automatic and I'm always afraid I will be missing part of the text or the pictures.

I've found ad blockers to be more or less competent in removing the stupid European banners, but they are far from flawless. Some sites get stuck without a scroll bar for example

hhsbz··on A catalog of naturally occurring images whose Apple NeuralHash is identical
Is it really a catalogue when there only are two of them?

I find it amusing that they probably ran this tool against a set of millions or even billions of images and this is the best they could come up with. They are practically praising Apple here lmao

hhsbz··on Airbnb offers free accommodation for 20k Afghan refugees
The president was a US-educated pawn. No chance he would've kicked out the US, which is why the US put him there.
hhsbz··on Samsung kills the cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 if you unlock the bootloader
If you mess with the central electronics of the car I'm sure the car could choose to disable itself and they wouldn't owe you a cent.
hhsbz··on Samsung kills the cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 if you unlock the bootloader
If you tamper with the device it's your responsibility, innit? It's not like they disabled a properly functioning device that uses the original firmware with an OTA update.
hhsbz··on Twitter adds warning label to tweet from Liberal candidate Chrystia Freeland
Getting banned from this kind of place should be considered a medal of honour.
hhsbz··on Razer bug lets you become a Windows 10 admin by plugging in a mouse
I expect the developers who write the kernel mode drivers to be much more competent and senior than those who write the flashy, slow GUIs that come with them. Yes, naive assumption, but still!
hhsbz··on Razer bug lets you become a Windows 10 admin by plugging in a mouse
The actual problem here is that Microsoft allows OEMs to install user space programs via their drivers, which are installed automatically without user intervention using Windows Update. This is unacceptable. Microsoft should only accept kernel mode drivers. If users want user space tools they can find them in the OEM website.
hhsbz··on Google found guilty of infringing Sonos patents
You say that patents no longer make sense, that they don't work, that they are exploited by "big corporations", but you don't really make an argument as to why you feel that way
