herickson123··on Ask HN: What has your experience been like with Indian developers?

I've had good experiences working with Indian developers, Indian recruiters is an entirely different story.

herickson123··on Ask HN: Which companies are considered to have the best engineers in 2017?

I generally think of these folks as scientists and engineers doing work in the real world.

herickson123··on Rankings of required skills in software development job listings

The UI was unusable from Chrome on iPhone

herickson123··on How to Get Old Brains to Think Like Young Ones

So sick of seeing these paywall links.

herickson123··on The 25 Best Films of the 21st Century

Can't even view article without always jumping to top. Must be one of those annoying paywall features.

herickson123··on The Anti-Uber

What is the point of putting these dumb ass paywall links?

herickson123··on The reference D compiler is now open source

I wanted to play around with D using the DMD compiler but it's unfortunate I have to install VS2013 and the Windows SDK to work with 64-bit support in Windows. I've installed VS in the past and found it to be a bloated piece of software I'm not willing to do again.

herickson123··on If you're an expert, search for fresh jobs in technology using this job board

Just to see typed in "software engineer" in the Bay Area. Got 4 hits with many times more coming from ZipRecruiter. Why would I use this and not just go to ZipRecruiter or Indeed?

herickson123··on [poll] do you use Firefox mobile?

no, use Chrome because in the past it didn't sync well with it's browser in a desktop/laptop, don't know if it's a working thing today or not

herickson123··on I finally made sense of front end build tools. You can, too

Well now we have FB Yarn, so I'm guessing < 3 months :)

herickson123··on Manually curated collection of resources for front end web developers

Don't get it, links seem broken.
