It's also the only country to ever start a war with the US over steel exports.

Some birds can see magnetic fields.

According to their producers. Do you trust them?

>The tallest tree they found measured about 180 feet tall (54.87 meters)—giant compared with most native UK species, but dwarfed by their American counterparts. I wonder if that have anything to do with communicating vessels effect. The really big ones grow in the mountains, so I imagine it's easier to pump water that high if trees roots can "climb" the slope next to trunk.

I've heard some rap song on the gym last week and the artist was boasting that he threw his phone in the sea because he sees all his real friends in person.

I'm not sure if you are talking about real factory or making a Factorio reference.

American military would love to squeeze nuclear reactor on every single ship. The conventional escort ships are much slower than aircraft carriers and need constant refueling, to the point they sometimes leave them behind and sail meet another fleet in destination port. It's not really feasible with fission but fusion would make it a lot safer.

You boost it to 24V and then use 12V as GND, 24V as +12V and actual GND of supply as -12V.

Why on Earth would you want to replace the robust, round connector with fragile USB-C?

I'm more interested in having an option to remove all tiktok-like short video suggestions from Facebook, Youtube and Instagram apps. It's easy in the browser but not on my phone.

I believe it's more about using :: as separator instead of dot. There must be a reason why no one wanted to copy it from C++.

I am not even sure how that would work, since the device does not have an internet access.

If it can act as Wi-Fi host it can most likely connect to other clients as well. It's pretty common to run small configuration page hosted on device that let's you enter your main Wi-Fi credentials. All you need to do is change wpa_supplicant setting in /etc/.

I would expect any medieval lead and gold mines surrounding to be horribly unhealthy.

They were using 3-4 horses per rider.

A road is just 2d tunnel.

Try asking for asymmetry. The more images of faces you average, the better they look.

Here's an article about about a NEWAG train that got derailed while evacuating Ukrainian refugees. There were 250 people onboard. It's the same Impuls model. https://esanok.pl/2022/ustjanowa-wykoleil-sie-pociag-z-uchod...

firing employees should result in lower revenues Why? They built the product and live off the subscription fees. The service is running, people are paying. They don't need to build anything new to keep getting paid. Does a landlord need to keep paying for the construction crew after his building is finished?

It's not Apple's fault, it's the desingers who use apple products. Look at youtube account linked to that page and tell me how many Windows computers can you see there: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJ21zHI2TNh9clapWNyWU...

People tend to forget to include a pissed off pedestrian with a door key in their illegal parking risk cost calculations.

All design people live in Macbooks and iPhones, so every UI not following current Apple theme feels off to them.

It's the first time a captcha tool flagged me as robot and banned from their site.

I wonder how hard would it be to just write off the Internet and go full offline. Setup a local LLAMa instance, download Wikipedia, torrent every movie and tv show from the last 40 years, clone all the github projects. It might sound crazy, but I remember people archiving entire discographies of their favorite artists on a single DVD. How much can you fit on single, modern HDD?

Medival wars in Europe were smaller and shorter because of weakness and fragmentation of European states at that time. The Mongol conquest cost the lives of 50 million people and left huge swathes of Europe and Asia uninhabited.

Yes, but these people don't really interact with lower classes. I think what author wanted to describe is signaling in situations where people just a few social ladder steps apart meet each other. Like gathering in local church or family reunion. Everyone dress basically the same, everyone eat the same grandmas cake but one cousin is MIT-educated engineer, one owns a car dealership and one stack shelves in Walmart.

You don't see any ruins. You see a slight bumps in terrain or grass patches that turn yellow a few days earlier each year. Only taking a picture from hundreds of feet above, with favorable lighting when shadows are long reveals regular rectangles, old plough marks and shapes of buildings that were leveled thousands years ago earlier. People like Podebard would come back to the same places for years just to catch that ideal conditions and discover additional detail or missed structures that were not visible on any previous picture.

Personally, I'm in Poland but I've seen them in other countries too. That's the most recent one from my city: https://radiopoznan.fm/informacje/pozostale/to-nowy-najwyzsz...

Reminds me of the tradition of topping out a finished roof. You often see 100m+ skyscrapers with a pine wreath hanging on top as if we were still worshipping some forest gods.
