What are your hopes and predictions for the Zig project?
Anyway, let's try to discuss something more technical: I predict Zig will lose steam, and in 2027, will lose relevance:
1) It's hardcore Anti-AI 2) It's moved to Codeberg 3) It doesn't have the momentum to sustain the disadvantages of these two decisions
The project will in max 2 years make a blog post, not admitting to their mistakes, telling themselves that Zig is a success, despite the industry having moved on.

i tried posting some of my articles here, but the didn't really get much interaction. however, someone else posted probably my most controversial article, and i'm happy to see that it had a nice discussion around it: source: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46412578
what is your input on these two topics? aka pull vs push and working well with serverless workflows
weak reasoning, as it might just be a supply/demand and not a product quality question
also, congrats, the swift and freebsd are ambitious in terms of new deployment platforms and compatibility! (see embedded swift, oci freebsd containers, freebsd on firecracker)

Her takeaway is that the value of small, antimemetic, high-trust groups has risen -- exactly because there are less than before
their software-hardware design philosophy is unmatched in the consumer space i would say. the fact that the transition from intel chips to arm chips went as smooth as it did is a testament to my point.
of course, they are not perfect.
you have to import the otp package in gleam to use the famous actor architecture
but i agree with the op that 'looking' at a display already subconsciously tells you something about the air quality and your relation to it. my air quality sensor [0] has a green/orange/red light system though, so i can sometimes just tell that the air quality is bad by a red led flaring up in the corner of my eye.

most people believe they do good and care about other people.
Genuine question.
absolute beautiful point about needing a different kind of literacy in the modern age at the end of the video.
i wish, with all my heart, that this and similar projects develop a loving community which will enable other communities to learn computing in an accessible, cheap and memorable way.

i understood your argument being a technical one, and not a social one. i have no opinion on this topic from the technical side.
git mailing lists have such a greybeard IRC vibe to them. i will, from now on, use "only accepts patches per mail" as a proxy for "not worth suggesting new ideas to" for all projects. it's a stupid proxy. correlation and causation and all that. but it's a very useful one for your sanity.
