Are you saying if you were more attractive/deserving/whatever, people with therapeutic skills would go around sharing their insight with you for free?
Things that did not help: -Books about people who were affected by narcissistic people. -All reddit groups about narcissism. -Writings of Vaknin and other famous narcissists.
Things that did help: -Reinventing Your Life by Young (general audience). -Schema Therapy by Young (professional audience). -Borderline, Narcissistic, and Schizoid Adaptations by Greenberg (professional audience). -Learning how to be aware when I'm splitting others or myself into black and white. (Much harder than it sounds. It's like trying to stop time.) -Regular appointments with a therapist. (Don't go expecting an 'atta boy'--expect to be pushed outside your comfort zone of false invulnerability and expect to resent your therapist with every cell in your body while this is happening. If you find them just giving you 'atta boys' you should get a different therapist). -Daily exercise. -Cutting ties with family of origin.
The end of a close relationship, sexual assault, and the passing of your mother are each things that can seriously challenge your self-concept in difficult ways. They also will take a toll on your ability to trust others. Together it sounds like too much too fast to be processed outside of survival mode.
If you can't get into individual therapy, maybe you can find a support group? Even something phone or chat based is better than nothing.
Please know that you are not alone and there are a lot of us here who have struggled and continue to struggle. And go for walks with no phone or music!
Like most everyone else said, it’s very important that you adapt the business processes to the software. That’s your first goal. Your second is to go-live with something that is embarrassingly bare-bones.
Once you’re live you should start to hold meetings about what to enhance but don’t make any big changes yet. Give your users some minor cosmetic changes or very low hanging fruit while the system proves itself.
Once you’ve been live a quarter or two—ideally the end of a fiscal year—then you can go to town making substantive changes.
