hajrice··on Ask HN: Review my FB App.

hajrice··on Ask HN: What do you use for tracking your users?
Oh the UI is awesome. I was reading(on Shaun Inman's blog) that he is inspired by geometric relationships, that's basically how he drew the logo for Mint and Fever.
hajrice··on Ask HN: PHP or ROR.
Yeah, I used Django a few times before. It's very nice.

Though, Django is pretty slower than any PHP framework(from the frameworks I've worked with)

hajrice··on Ask HN: PHP or ROR.
Thanks, I'm pretty good in php. I love the Kohana PHP framework.
hajrice··on [dead]
Yes. It's included in the post.

"A link to your product. Believe it or not, we had made this mistake( BIG thanks to tptacek from Hacker news for pointing it out). Users will wonder how can I get their product or how can I get them to offer me their services. Provide a link to your product and a brief description of what you’re offering in the sidebar. Make it easy for people to access your service/product."

You have to have character :D
hajrice··on Crazy marketing idea: Record your work.
Oh man! Thank you sooo much!!!!

I apologize for the inconvenience I may have made with this!!

hajrice··on Crazy marketing idea: Record your work.
Yes. The thing is, in a startup there are so many roles that can be recorded and flipped on the net. Marketing, deciscion making, design, good atmosphere at the office, programming, ...

It's just crazy how big a market we can attract by following these principles.

Regarding the editing, I agree. Yet uploading the videos edited is very time consuming even though it'll probably increase the spice of the video.

hajrice··on Crazy marketing idea: Record your work.
Well, I'm pretty sure you'll hear a success story about this from us. We're implementing it.
hajrice··on Ask HN: How do I find a marketing person for my startup?
Hi! Emil Hajric here, I'm a pretty good marketing person.

mail me at hajrice@gmail.com if you're interested...

hajrice··on Looking for a co-founder for a SaaS startup.
a) Different functionality. b) Yammer is an enterprise.
hajrice··on Looking for a co-founder for a SaaS startup.
You've missed the point. Drop.io isn't Team collaboration software. This application would be focused on helping teams collaborate, drop.io is (based on what I saw) more focused on file sharing collaboration.
hajrice··on Ask HN: Looking for a partner for future SaaS startup(s).
Hey, it's alright. We have a couple of ideas, but not really sure which one to execute so we'd rather not put any of them down and then turn out douches by not doing what we said we would. :D
hajrice··on Ask HN: Where do you find clients?
hmm well I suppose networking would be crucial. At least for me it is. I sometimes do some web development/design work and all of my clients recommend me. How I found the first one was simple, I did it for a friend...you could offer a free version to someone, etc?

I suggest you read Seth Godin's website. For God sakes the man is a marketing genius! :)

Best wishes with your venture.

hajrice··on Ask HN: Rate my idea
awesome :D :D what's your email? i'd like to have you on the team :D
hajrice··on Ask HN: Rate my idea
Hi Zaid. I'd really love to, but I doubt anyone except my friend and I would use it...I mean I don't want to pour my time into something that'll be worthless(as in no one will use it).
hajrice··on Ask HN: Rate this startup
Check this out, it might come in handy: http://www.furtzdesigns.com/under/
hajrice··on Ask HN: Rate this startup
It took me 1 second to leave the website. The design is just horrible(with all due respect :D). I suggest you make the website with a simple statement, I want to know what the hell this website does without having to read all the text.

My suggestion is that you grab yourself a neat "Coming Soon page" from a template.

hajrice··on Ask HN: CraigsList alternative idea?
Thanks for the info. I really like this RentHop.
hajrice··on Ask HN: Getting in Y Combinator?
Oh man! Thanks a lot! That was so nice of you!!!

I realized that, yet to be honest I'm looking in creating an actual SaaS startup. Something that provides values and that actually solves a problem. Thank you for the tips, I hope your business is doing well.

:-)

hajrice··on Ask HN: Getting in Y Combinator?
Thanks for the heads up! :D
hajrice··on Ask HN: Getting in Y Combinator?
Thanks man! That means a lot to me :-)
hajrice··on Ask HN: A startup for the "Coming soon" startup pages?
No, not really. I love what Danny did with LaunchSet, it's just not really what I'm pointing at. I mean imagine the software that is a combination of a Email newsletter along with some Comming soon page manager.
hajrice··on Raising a startup is the best education you can get.
heh, I was having a bit of a laugh there. But Yes, PStamatiou, you got it!
hajrice··on Raising a startup is the best education you can get.
Sorry if the tonation of my post is to entirely shift your startup into focusing on YC. What I meant was, Working on a startup is the best form of education. If you land a deal with YC, that's even better, it's a way to decrease the number of errors you make along with the time it takes for you to succeed.
hajrice··on Can I get some advice
I'd go with 3. It's always better to increase the value of the site, and I mean....if you need any help, I'm sure you'll find someone from the Hacker News community.

...if anything, I'd be glad to help you out! :)

hajrice··on Ask HN: Are you looking for a founder?
Developer and designer AND business guy, and very efficiently. Experiance in UI design(I make people say DAMN! when they see my design), coding(PHP(CodeIgniter and Kohana framework), MySQL, jQuery, ...) along with good marketing(just call me Seth Godins son, for now) and good team management skills.

After all being an entrepreneur is all about using the tools you have and making a good opportunity out of them, right? :)

hajrice··on Ask HN: Are you looking for a founder?
Both, and very efficiently. Experiance in UI design(I make people say DAMN! when they see my design), coding(PHP(CodeIgniter and Kohana framework), MySQL, jQuery, ...) along with good marketing(just call me Seth Godins son, for now) and good team management skills.
hajrice··on Ask HN: Business movie suggestions?
Catch Me If You Can seems like a good movie to learn about business. This guy managed become "successful" talking his way to success.

I quote successful cause he basically scammed a lot of people.

hajrice··on Ask HN: How did you get your product idea?
Lol, I have plenty of time yet not so plenty of ideas! :P

Shout out a few ideas? I'd be glad to consider developing them. :D
