Can I say, just having the transaction merchant name converted to a more human readable version makes it worth it in and of itself (there are probably some free services that do this).
Highly recommend an app like truebill or something that analyzes your bank account! I found subscriptions to things I had totally forgot about etc. and saved a significant amount of money right away.
The negativity about the annoying landing page is fair enough, but vite is actually awesome to work with as a dev! I've been using it as a dev server for sveltekit, its performance claims are very true.
"simplest" in the sense of the simplest bill of materials, but definitley not a simple path towards plotting an image. Anyone who's tried to build one of these and actually have it plot reasonably well will know that it's super fiddly to get working.
I'd save my time and just buy a proper axidraw, if you actually want to plot anything.
What is the point of this? The alternative mic listed is 250$, whereas a blue yeti can be had for 90$ at bestbuy right now. So if you spend more you get a better mic. I don't think anyone was convinced that the yeti was the best mic you could get, just the best one for the price.
Not 83 different passwords, 83 sites with the same, compromised password. I know, I know, horrible security, but I do believe its what the majority of people do!
Right? The way this reads it seems like one person set a flag incorrectly, something I'm sure we've all done numerous times. And there were no checks down the line to catch it.
What I don't understand is that the truck drivers are here delivering packages to help the citizens! Like I want my amazon driver to not be harassed when delivering stuff to my house, and I want restaurants and business around me to be resupplied easily so I can go to them.
The consequences you mention, feel more like a consequence of us demanding X amount of goods in our cities each day, and having no other infrastructure to get them there besides trucks, than the drivers individual malfeasance.
Bummer! The bookstores are pretty nice, and the 4-star shops were so useful for the bizarre, algorithmically curated collection of product they contained. I remember pre-pandemic, I needed a ir thermometer and a gift wrapped coffee table book, randomly popped into my local 4-star (soho) and it had everything.
This reminded me why I loved my retail job, but I think its partially because I was retail inside an amusement park: I missed out on most of the BS (people were generally very happy to be there/ having a great day).
I'm not sure I 100% buy this argument. Like yes, objectively the creature work in the new star wars lacks the weight and realness of the original puppets, or even those used in the Mandelorian.
But we've also got to see the world of starwars in an absolutely incredible new way! x Wings skimming over the water with incredible camera angles, spectacular space explosions, realistic lightsabers that spark and have volume (sword fighting choreography aside).
One of the biggest turn off to me of java has always been the poor quality of many java apps. Especially on mac, you know when its a java app vs native.
