gregorkas··on Ask HN : Freeze that page
Probably a tool that clears the page to make it readable, for example: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/clearly/iooicodkii...
gregorkas··on Instagram Django site admin
Although it's been a while since I've done anything in Django, seeing this still gives me a warm feeling.
gregorkas··on Is Android development tougher as compared to iOS development
Actually it depends on what you're trying to do - a good Android developer will spend the same amount of time implementing some of the features as a good iOS developer and some things are easier to do here and some there. The main issue I think is the learning curve, because on iOS you usually have to think about memory allocation (although it got better with ARC), but other than that I wouldn't say that either of the platforms is "tougher".

The main reason some apps come to iOS first is better app discovery and a larger user base. If you manage to score a high user base, the monetization is quite awarding so that's why developers choose iOS first. Definitely not because of iOS being easier than Android.

gregorkas··on Transition to a WebKit engine
"We might as well join the club, stop innovating and make a monoculture out of it." made my day :D
gregorkas··on Who Made That?
Actually the Navigation toolbar disappears on Advertisement in Chrome. But thanks anyway :)
gregorkas··on Who Made That?
Is anyone else stuck on advertisement? :S
gregorkas··on Google's new browser
Does anyone else have problems with canvas on the new Chrome?
gregorkas··on Show some love for iframes
You don't. You register a key press event listener on the main page and when the user types into the iframe, you can catch the strokes.

Example: http://www.jayssite.com/misc/iframesample.html (not my site, I googled it)

gregorkas··on Show some love for iframes
You could load gmail or facebook or any other site in an iframe and tell the user to login, but you would intercept his credentials with javascript.
gregorkas··on Show HN: Spark Inspector, a run-time debugging tool for iOS apps
Yes, every browser has an inspector that lets you change elements in realtime. Right click somewhere on the page and select "Inspect element".
gregorkas··on Ask HN: Is Gmail Down?
Not down for me.
gregorkas··on The Incredible Power Of Concentration - Miyoko Shida
Concentration level: Asian.
gregorkas··on CSS3 Traveling Through Space
Probably the bes CSS3 demo I've ever seen. Good job.
gregorkas··on The Dyatlov Pass Incident
Aliens.
gregorkas··on I'm no longer working on Octave
Haha nice, I just read through the whole thing and only realized it was april fools when I clicked the link to his future plans! :)
gregorkas··on How do you get so much prelaunch buzz on your product like what mailbox app did
I think the waiting list won most of the users in that case. They had an awesome display of how many people there are in front of you / behind you which was worth subscribing to.

Oh and also lots and lots of social marketing.

gregorkas··on Hey ember.js - you need to drive more votes
So now every SEO optimized site that appears higher in the search list can be called evil? Google now includes social results from Google+, so Ember.js better make a profile :)
gregorkas··on Why I hate Google Chrome?
To be honest, you should've already removed all that useless data. I really don't get why you HATE Google Chrome now after clearing up your stuff.

I'd say: "Good guy Google Chrome".

gregorkas··on Learning to code, with no Internet access.
If he manages to grab a printed copy of Stack Overflow, that'd be great :D (for non programmers: this is an internal joke)
gregorkas··on Please critique How It Works page for new startup
It should say "sounds cool" instead of "sound cool".
gregorkas··on Host a Website on Google Drive
Actually, the same goes for Dropbox - just drag an html file to your Public folder and get it's link - Boom, instant static html page with css and javascript. Personally I prefer Dropbox because sync worked faster for me so the updates to the page were almost instant, but I had to wait a while for Drive to sync everything.
gregorkas··on [dead]
Agreed. They should show a "Powered by HSMaker.com" message after you click the icon.
gregorkas··on The Hardest Test I Ever Gave (C++)
http://xkcd.com/138/
gregorkas··on Starwars traceroute DDOSed into oblivion
