In reality no one notices your nose. Women are like VC's, they invest in your personality, not in what your product is.
Imagine a scenario in which you find an iPhone (or "borrow" it) - how do you unlock it without knowing the owner and having access to their fingerprints? You don't, not with this "hack".
A cool demonstration of the fingerprint lifting technique though.

Second, you also have these: https://github.com/500.html https://github.com/502.html https://github.com/503.html
And maybe some more.
I think this is more of a psychological thing than a syntax thing because if you're used to a syntax of a language, it gets embedded in your brain and with years of practice you can spot a missing semicolon from a mile away after only a quick glance over the code. People are afraid of changes and if they are used to something and that thing is taken away they become unsettled.
Or their brain explodes if they see JavaScript with missing semicolons :P.
While I was looking at the JavaScript code my brain almost exploded.
I agree with the article though, but the thing people tend to forget is that the phone can actually be a desktop computer too... which maybe makes it worth it.
(also that thing is a marker for aliens telling them where not to go)
I must say that the functionality of the app really does a great job at behaving like a native app, but there was some lag when returning to the main screen via the "Cancel" button.
When HTML5 is ready for prime time, I want it to fly. I want the apps match the performance of native apps (stop fooling yourself, currently they are close but not perfect) or even outperform them.
